I've been to a pretty decent amount of shows lately and this one was by far the worst. This is the only live music event that I've been to that I legitimately didn't enjoy at all. I've been to shows at the oracle before and they've been awesome (Spookfest 2012) so it wasn't the venue.

To start, the place was not packed at all, it was half empty. The event started at 5:30 and thank god I didn't get there then, I showed up at 7:30 because I paid close to $80 for my ticket and I wanted to get my monies worth. I've never seen so many people sitting down at a rave and people just did not look like they were having fun at all.

The music: Robbie Rivera was playing when I got there and he was alright but something about the way they had the place set up made the acoustics really bad, you could barely feel the base and the music was really hard to dance too there just wasn't any rhythm. I thought that maybe as it got later and better dj's came out it would be better but that wasn't the case at all. Rusko came out at 8:30 and I definitely thought he would be good but he wasn't any better. The music just was not loud enough at all and the place just felt really empty. Garreth Emry came on at 9:30 and they finally kicked the sound levels up a notch but it was still really hard to dance too and by that time I think people were too exhausted to get into it.

The People: I've always loved raves because people are so nice and understanding almost 100% of the time. It's just kind of part of live music that you might get stepped on or bumped a little but its usually unintentional and people will usually apologize. I had 4 Roided up d bags repeatedly step on the seat behind me causing my legs to get pushed out from under me and finally turned around to tell them to either walk in one aisle or the other and immediately one of them wanted to fight and probably would have punched me in the face had I not decided it wasn't worth it and ignored them for the music.

Over all this was just the worse show I've ever been too. I paid about $160 combined for me and my girlfriends tickets and it was so bad that we ended up LEAVING at 10:30pm! 10:30 to an event that was supposed to go till 2! mainly so we could catch the bart back from Oakland to SanFrancisco but also just because it was straight up not enjoyable and we both couldn't picture being there for 3 and a half more hours.

The first thing I noticed was the vast number of people which I expected. However, I did not expect such a small stage. There was also little decor. Lighting was acceptable, but did not exactly stun me except a little bit towards the end. This was not my first large event, and smaller events I visited in the past had better lighting than this.

Thanks to this event I realized I prefer not to attend events of this type of genre. Don't get me wrong. I love electronic music. I just prefer dirtier beats.

It was a great event but the unicorn slayer was weaker than usual because of him being right off the asot tour. Rusko was amazing as was Garett emery! Good but not great

Going to POP was amazing. The rotating stage and lighting was phenomenal! I was on the floor but I noticed that the 2 tiers were sold out. I thought that was a bit odd because who wants to sit/stand in a seating area with no room to dance. I can't imagine being in that area would be much fun other than to really get a full look at how amazing the light production was! It's too bad that those people were not allowed on the main floor though. But being general admission was amazing! One last note, I kind of miss Beyond Wonderland when the event was outside and they had huge white tents set up with a Ferris wheel! All in all, this event was amazing.

The stage was spectacular, sound was at a perfect level, staff were friendly and helpful, the building was well ventilated, and it was overall probably the best event I've been to yet.

I came 2 and a half hours late and it still took over 40 minutes to get inside. It was ridiculous to wait outside in the cold like that. Also, the lights were really bad.... I can see why this event was no where near selling out. I will not go to next years event.

After a POPNYE that was left ALOT to be desired, I felt that the organizers really listened to what people were saying. The floor level fiasco from NYE where people were locked from the floor even when they bought a FULL PRICED ticket was borderline bait-and-switch. I love the new setup with the stage in the middle of the arena meant a great view from almost anywhere in the arena. I was more than happy to sit in the 1st floor with a ground level ticket! Also, the DJs were much more diverse. I love trance but 9 hours of trance can be overwhelming. For example, Rusko really switched up the pace.

my favorite Skills event so far! and i've been to most in the last 3 years! the venue wasn't hot(it was actually kinda cold at times but i'd rather have that),there was room to dance on the main floor because of the rotating stage. it never got overly crowded. i liked that you could walk around the concourse without being squished. loved the free water stations! and we didn't have to wait in line at all! got inside within like 5 minutes!

favorite DJ would have to be Rusko! best part of the event! the lights,confetti and sound all mixed so well together perfectly! can't wait for the next one!

Good mixture of DJ's. Wish there was more variety for music genres. Having a large amount of house and progressive trance artists makes their drops all sound similar after awhile. I really enjoyed how quickly the stage switch from one act to the other.

great venue. great setup, love the rotating 360 stage. it made it easier for everyone to see the lights and dj! very organized and not congested like popnye. got my GA acess everywhere worth! the only downside is that getting in for GA access everywhere took too long. hadto wait in the cold for an hour!

This time they really improved efficiency and space at the Arena.

- Middle rotating DJ Booth + Light displays, allowed floor ticket holders to dance 360 and around the bottom floor. Also allowed seats which are normally in back of the stage to be available for more people.

- Security: They really check wristbands this time, so you have to go where you're designated to go. However, because event was only 90% filled up, they should have allowed upper-level guests to go down to mid level. I have to say, upper level is BORING, not jumping, and music isn't as loud up there. By midnight, security got a lot more relaxed about the wristbands.

- Music: I was shocked to hear them play SHM! The final 30 minutes was awesome, they totally rocked the house. And included an encore. It was amazing.

Awesome event, the O.co is unfortunately a little far from everything, but the advantage is that the event can go later, louder, and bigger! The setting was great, ventilation was good, and the set was incredible! Looking forward to the NYE event :)

When I heard about the circular stage, I didn't have many expectations. I was slightly disappointed that only a specific area of the upper level was open. I also had some problems with my printed ticket that stated General Admission as I was directed all around to the specific Upper or Lower Level entrances. I ended up going to Customer Service, where they had to print out another set of tickets with me stating Upper Level for the assigned section.

Anyway, once we actually sat down, it was AMAZING! The stage was a masterpiece of lights and movement. I didn't really dig Rusko's dirty sounds or Markus Schulz - kind of made me bored. The best act of the night was hands-down Steve Angello since it was basically like the Swedish House Mafia concert I went to in February with better lights.
