The venue seems to be taking criticisms well, as minor adjustments are made each week to make for a better program.
The scoreboard better reflected the penalty periods, whereas some games before they had been lax in those duties. The request a song for in game play was a nice addition however my friend and I had no response from the system this game in comparison to last game's autoreply confirmation. Sometimes the Request line decided to play a mash-up instead of the original request but most mashups were acceptable.
The game was awesome, being the closest game for Kentucky. The Dutchman are an awesome team and I can't wait to watch our meeting next season. Players got heated in the game but kept mostly composed until the last period throw-down.
My only negative had nothing to do with the venue, but instead the children sitting in the row in front of me. I understand our desires to motivate our team and trash talk the opponents, however there language and behavior was terrible. Flipping off refs and yelling obscenities at the opposing goalie and players is terrible behavior, especially since there had been young children in our area. At least there were until the parents got fed up with the offenders and left to find seating elsewhere.
