I am not a gamer. I know about Zelda just enough to keep track of my 14-year-old son's gaming habits. I have listened to parts of his Skyward Sword CD and have enjoyed the music. (I am a season ticket holder with the Phoenix Symphony.) I agreed to take him to this concert and was going more as his chaperone than as an enthusiastic listener. However, I must admit that I enjoyed it. The music was very well done, and the "Zelda gaming footage" on the large screen helped me make more sense of the game series. The audience, although not my demographic, was enthusiastic and well mannered, and it was fun to attend an event that was a bit outside my box. Kudos for the Zelda Symphony for coming up with this unique crossover concept of mixing the gaming world with the classical music world!

Imagine your childhood played out in front of you... Nostalgic, while at the same being memorable this was a night I'll never forget. I loved hearing Ocarina of Time's Movement as well as Twilight Princess. But the crème de la crème as they say was The Ballad of The Wind Fish. That stroke of Orchestral genius filled the void inside my pockets. You won't be disappointed if you go see this. Better yet, you might not ever get to see this again.

If you are into The Legend of Zelda, than this is the show for you! I loved see clips from all my favorite games and the music was astounding. Even if you're not that into Zelda, this is still a great show to see! The musical experience is one that no one should miss.

The Pittsburgh Symphony,Philadelphia Choir, Eimear Noone (conductor), Jeron Moore (producer), Chad Seiter (composer), Jason Michael Paul, Nintendo, and I'm sure many others who I'm missing are to be congratulated for putting on an unbelievable show. I've never been to an orchestral concert, but I felt right at home when as soon as the music started we were treated to the games being played out on a screen behind the orchestra.
I don't want to spoil the show, so in closing if you enjoy the music of the Zelda series I highly recommend checking out a show near you!

This is the concert you've been waiting for since the moment you stepped onto Hyrule Field. Nintendo has finally put together an orchestrated concert for the series with the best music in the video games industry. Most of the songs played are from the CD that came with Skyward Sword, but there a few EXCELLENT pieces that made their way into the concert that weren't on the disc that make the price of the ticket well worth it. Plus, each song is accompanied by a video that takes your mind back to those nostalgic moments in each game that ultimately brought you to the princess's side and saved her from some villain's clutches. Plus, it's a chance to meet up with a bunch of fans that share your love for this great story, characters, world, and of course, music. The conductor, Eímear Noone, did a fantastic job, and she's a fan of the series as well! She is the very same conductor that performed at Nintendo's E3 Press Conference in 2011, if you happened to watch that event. She's also interested in doing more Zelda stuff after the tour ends, so if you like it, help us all by contacting Nintendo and telling them that you'll happily pay for more Zelda music.
Oh! And don't forget to bring your 3DS! These concerts are a haven for StreetPassing!

Whole performance was more than I expected. It starts with a few medleys, then follows videos of actual gameplay as the orchestra plays the parts and themes as you see them. Made for a much more engrossing experience.

If you are a Zelda fan you will love this symphony they do songs from all the best games. For non Zelda fans they should still give it a try the energy from the fans and the symphony is great.

I've been a Legend of Zelda fan since, well, forever. The music has always been one of the reasons I love the series so much. This concert was my first experience hearing these amazing songs from a live orchestra and I was certainly not disappointed. The symphony covers some of the most cherished and popular tunes from the games and arranges them beautifully. My fiance was a little disappointed that Dragon Roost Island (his personal favorite) wasn't part of the concert, but we still enjoyed every last minute. If you get the chance to experience this symphony for yourself, do take it!

I'm a collector of video game music, so I have every Zelda soundtrack in my iTunes library. Very little of it is orchestrated, since Skyward Sword is the first Zelda game to have an orchestrated soundtrack, so when I saw this concert was announced, I couldn't believe it.
I wish so many times I could go back to that night, simply because the child-like magic that filled the amphitheater was so palpable. The lights dimmed and as the first piece played in sync with videos from Zelda's history on the screen, I didn't even realize how big my smile was. This continued for 2 hours straight.
Favorite piece from the show: A Link to the Past Symphonic Movement. Not the biggest fan of that game since I prefer the newer graphics/play styles, but damn was that 13 minute piece epic!
The composers and producers being such big fans also helped the mood a lot as well.
Flawless performance, flawless presentation - and be sure to stay for the 3 encores.
2 of the best hours of my life. :)

This concert was amazing. The Pittsburgh Symphony was phenomenal and the arrangement was everything I expected to be played and more! There were definitely times when during the event that made me tear up. I can't say enough good things about it!

I wanted to attend this ever since the tour was announced. I dont have a car. So, I had to catch 2 buses, the Market Frankford line, and another bus to get there! It was worth every penny! The music was really nice! Pittsburg Symphony was decent and they played with feeling thru the entire show. As a musician and Zelda fan, I had a GREAT time!
Only issues are that fans cheered loudly during some pieces and the zelda main theme medley wasnt played

I would like to start off by saying Symphony Of the Goddesses was an amazingly well put together show that was performed by an extremely talented group of people. The concept and overall flow of the show was perfect for any fan of the series. It was engaging and exciting as well as hauntingly beautiful. Now with all of that said, I was very dissapointed seeing this show at the Mann Center. I along with 3 others had lawn seats. By the time we got there the entire lawn was filled with blankets and chairs so there was no room left to sit. We stood on the pavement behind the lawn and even just from there the sound was so low we couldn't even hear over others speaking. Then after the intermission ( after standing for 45 min) we decided to atleast sit down at tables toward the back. If we couldn't hear very well before, it was now even worse. We couldn't even hear over the sounds of the generators from the food stands. That on top of missing the first 35 minutes of the show because of traffic getting in was extremely disappointing. I would not reccommend the venue or seating but I highly reccommend seeing this show. There were points I squealed with joy and excitement. Overall great show, bad seating and venue.

A lot of fun for all kinds of people, young and old, costumed and dressed from work. The videos were a lot of fun (I wished I had brought a controller, to further simulate my childhood).
