Seldom have I seen a performer as versatile as Ms Burrell. She displayed her extraordinary talents for two hours and seemed tireless. She held the audience in the palm of her hands throughout. This was indeed a once in a lifetime solo act that must be seen to be believed.

We just returned from Philadelphia were we saw the extraordinarily talented Terry Burrell give an amazing performance as Ethel Waters at the Walnut Theatre. She sang. She clowned. She mimicked. She cried. She prayed. She wowed us! Just Terry as Ethel and two musicians-- and the audience was transported. Wonderfully written by Terry, and directed by Kenneth Roberson. See it if you can.
