The cast of Utopia (all four of them) created a no-holds barred parody of current and past events in Iowa. The writing was clever and the songs were fun and if you are willing to laugh at yourself and other Iowans, then you will love this.
Two small annoyances - 1) sitting on the far side of the theater made it difficult to catch some things even though the cast was in all areas of the theater at different times and
2) the music was just a little too loud. I couldn't always hear the words being sung over the music therefore missing some of the crucial comedy pieces.

What a fun "depiction" of Iowa. We laughed a lot! It was a fast-paced show, and the perfect length (less than 2 hr.) If you've never been to Stoner Theater and you don't want to classify yourself as a theater "snob" - this is a great opportunity to "get your feet wet."

I thought this musical was great. It was hilarious and really pokes fun at the little things that make Iowa unique. Some people may be offended by the left slant to some of the songs, but if you have an open mind, you will thoroughly enjoy it.
