The shows were fantastic! I decided to take a vacation by myself and not to have to deal with any drama for a change, so I ended up staying with a friend at Virginia Beach and enjoyed a weekend full of music for less than $30! I went ahead with the Passport Pin and got mine before the cut off date on the 1/2 price deal. So that let me into THREE huge shows "on the beach" for like $27 - fees and all - cant beat that! ..and all artists were on the money - Stone Temple Pilots kicked butt Friday night, ZZ Top packed the beach with their early matinee show Saturday and sounded great! ...and then Tonic and Bret Michaels of Poison came out and rocked out the finale Sunday night. Caught some of the cool FREE concerts on the boardwalk as well, so that was a bonus! Wow, whatta weekend! The weather was perfect for the weekend thank goodness, considering Hurricane Irene had just stomped up the coast the weekend before. This is an annual event based around a great fundraiser The Rock N Roll Half Marathon, so I highly recommend it to all and anyone for your Labor day getaway - I do however recommend planning to get a room nearby or at least get to some nearby parking at least a couple hours before the shows are to start or else you could end up missing part of a show or having to park blocks away and pay ridiculously high fees. Rock on American Musc Festival and rock on Virginia Beach!
