The show was pretty fantastic. From the start, we had Fathom Blue, which were a pleasant surprise. They showed their gift of original lyrics to traditional alternative music. Then we also had Psychopathic Daze and Punch Cabbie, but the headline of the show was V is for Villains, my reason for going.
I brought along four friends who'd never seen them before, and as soon as they enter the stage with their theatrics and steampunk costumes, I just watched as my companions' eyes lit up. These guys have a great image, from character costumes to the mysterious masks they wear, and their originality peaks with their awesome music. It's a fantastic blend of industrial styles and dark lyrics in a perfect concoction unlike anything you've ever heard before. It left the crowd begging for more--literally, as the shout for an encore could be heard throughout the House of Blues. To top it all off, they are some of the nicest people I've ever met; you really get a feel for how much they care about their fans.
I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for something new and interesting. Once they hear it, they'll wonder how they lived without it.
