This is a high energy event. Great to go with friends or family. The level of tennis is good, but not as intense as something in an ATP or WTA tournament. Their rules are easy to understand for non-tennis players and tennis players a like.
What I detest is they do not allow you to bring in water, they do not have water fountains, and drinks cost more than I've seen at other sporting events.
The second thing that irritated me was they do not discourage people from moving around during points. A pair of women in my row got out of their seats about 20 times combined throughout the match. A large group of women in my area were pretty obnoxious as well and hardly ever stopped talking.
Lastly, their parking lot is bad. There were a lot of spaces but some paths went to dead ends and many pedestrian exits went to no where (dark, empty rooms with debris) or had massive puddles of dirty water obstructing the path. $10 seems overpriced for this lot.

I went online and selected the Serena Williams match. When the match started, Venus Williams started playing. After Venus played she announced that she was the "same" as her sister. No one at the stadium thought so. If we wanted to see Venus, we would have purchased tickets for her match.

The kastle tennis match with Venus Williams was excellent. Then venue is a wonderful spot near the river and provided a nice breeze. All seats provide a fine view of the match. Get the seats with a back if you have back problems though. Otherwise you will be sitting on bleachers. There's lot of variety of food and drink too. Parking at the Channel Inn a few doors down was $10

What a fun night watching tennis! Beautiful location! Great event for my husband, my 15 year old son, and me - avid tennis fans! We try to go watch the Kastels at least once every year! Love it!

This was my first visit to the new stadium and I was very pleased with it. I loved the tables by the water, and we had beautiful weather. As always they kept the crowd involved in the match. It's always a great night, no matter who is playing for the Kastles!

Basically, the Washington Kastles lured me and the other fools to purchase $85 tickets to see Serena play the last 3 years in DC and both Serena and the Kastles knew in advance that she was not coming. I love Venus too but her replacing Serena is no consolation. I will not be fooled a 4th year. The chairs are uncomfortable and I paid $9 for a 6 ounce white wine in a plastic cup. Oouch!

I went to the Kastles game on Sunday, July 22, and it was a great game. Excellent weather and excellent seats. Views are good from practicaly all seats because it is a small venue. Getting in and out of venue was no hassle however there should have been more sponsors on site. Only complaints music ENTIRELY inappropriate playing after every pause in play,that was really annoying. Also the announcer was annoying repeating same thing over and over for fans to get involved. The cheerleaders serve no purpose they were boring and acted like they did not want to be there. There was a long pause after halftime that could have been filled with some kind of entertainment on the field. Actually, the games should think about starting earlier next year perhaps five or six o'clock. Seven o'clock is late to start if it pushes the game to ten o'clock. This should be taken into consideration next time.The volunteers stood around and did not offer to help. One was standing outside of the bathrooms and did not tell elderly disabled patrons there was a disabled bathroom near by. My only other suggestion would be if the stars have other committments lined up at the same time as the Kastle committment maybe they should not appear. Venus stood in for Serena on Sunday however she had to leave early to catch a flight to London . This gave fans half of what they paid for. Other than that EXCELLENT EVENT!

What is up with the cheerleaders at a tennis match?The moves they made were not appropriate for a family event, and for the price I paid for tickets, it was not the atmosphere I was looking for, especially for tennis. It was cool to see Venus but we bought the tickets to specifically see Serena. There was no refund offered so we went anyway. It was good to see her strength and especially her serves. She was a little erratic at times, like when she served and smacked her doubles partner in the upper back. The other players on both teams were athletic and talented.

Kastle matches are alway fun. The organizers do very good job of energizing the crowd and the man on stilts is a wonderful cheerleader. Serena Williams was scheduled to play this time and for whatever reason she did not come. Venus play instead. The elder sister played very good tennis and won both singles and doubles match. It was enjoyable to watch Venus but I had already seen her last week and I was expecting to see Serena Williams play. It was very disappointing not to see her.

It was an exciting event for us, we did not know Venus would be there and then to watch her play along with the First Lady of the USA and family it was great!!

We will not attend another Kastle tennis match! This was our second time attending the Kastles tennis: the first was at the old location, and second was in the new arena. The Kastles have have made many changes that are unfortunate and distracting to the viewers.
The loud noise, music played between every point felt like someone turning on and off the radio every 5 seconds. Irritating!! Horrible for the specatators, and most likely the players. We felt like we couldn't settle down and enjoy the event. Why do sporting events think we need to be stimulated every second.?
Another ridiculous addtion are the cheerleaders! Really? The only thing missing was a pole for their dance routine.
Bottom line; do the Kastles want to be taken seriously? Too bad the over the top entertainment spoiled the lovely intimate arena where we should have seen some good tennis. Until the venue can change to a more professional atmosphere, we will not be coming back.

My wife and I enjoyed the tennis and it was a very exciting finish with Bobby Reynolds winning the last set in a tiebreaker. We got a special treat seeing Venus Williams for the first time and Michelle Obama made an unexpected visit.
