There was so much down time between tractors the spectators were left with way too much time on their hands. Conversations between friends or new aquaintances were just getting in depth when finally a driver was ready to get started. At least that is what you thought until the tractor stalled out because he hadn't had appropriate warm up to keep the engine running. The track had a dip where the sled had dug a ditch that should have been attended better between pullers. The track crew needed to be quicker, much quicker, this includes the roller. The crew moving the tractors needs to keep an eye all around so that they don't almost run into other tractors. All in all for the first year it was ok, but have much higher expectations that the staff has learned a great deal this year and next year will be much improved. The staff for Kansas City would do well to attend a large show such as Louisville for some pointers.
