I hate concerts! I especially hate concerts of artists I've never heard of. My BFF was in town for one night and wanted to go see Avery Sunshine. I tried to get out of it but she was insistent. I'm so glad she was....the show was great and Avery's voice was perfection. Even though I was new to her music, I still enjoyed the show. She engaged the audience and was entertaining. I bought all of her stuff on Itunes while I was sitting there....Avery Sunshine has a new fan.

Favorite moment: When she merged three artists songs together and got the crowd singing along: Aretha Frankin, Luther Vandross and Michael Jackson! It was grrrrreat! @

Opening act(s): Ms. Gregory was Awesome! I did not know that Dick Gregory had children...duh! Anyway, she has great range and she shared some things about herself that resonated with me. There is nothing like sisters connecting. @

I enjoyed this concert so much at the Howard Theatre! Avery Sunshine is Amazing! She got with the crowd right away. We had a connection with her. She is a phenomenal singer and pianist! I loved the way she merged songs together and included the audience. It was sheer musical genius! I can't wait to see her again and I will recommend her concerts to everyone I know!

Both ladies, Ayanna Gregory and Avery Sunshine put on an amazing show! From beginning to end, my girl friends and I were very impressed. Avery sang, with so much passion and conviction! I loved her compilation of "LuRetha Jackson" I can't wait until she returns back to DC!!! So she can have us, as she says "Shinning"

I was truly satisfied with the performance of Avery Sunshine. A wonderful performer with a heart for God that exudes through her music. She reaches out to the audience and really connect.

I will most definitely see her again and bring several friends with me next time.

The Avery Sunshine performance was nothing short of unforgetable. The soultry rhythmic tunes reverberated and sent chills through the room. Avery is kind in her delivery as she sings about love. Her fans are able to reach her and she is kind enough to respond. Avery is in a league of her own and is a blessing to soulful R&B music.

OMG!!! where do I begin. The venue was spectacular. It was intimate, just the right amount of people. The service from the bar and food was excellent. Ms. Avery Sunshine was absolutely amazing. She has such a pure voice and as a spectator I felt a part of the show. Her band was the best. This is such a great thing for the Apollo. I would definitely come again and again. With artists like Ms. Sunshine who do not get the air play or props like some artists who can't sing, it is great to know that there are venues like this where you can go and hear real performers.

Apollo keep them coming.

This is my second time seeing her. The first time was for free, and a short session. But it was good enough that I gladly paid to see her this time. If you love R&B and neo-soul, but also like a little gospel, a little house music, and some personality in a performer (think Patti Labelle), then check out this supremely talented performer. Her voice is powerful, and she doesn't hold back.

The one thing I am still waiting for, is for her to do an uptempo Jam of the old Roy Ayers tune, like she did on Youtube. But maybe she's just giving me a reason to come back next time.

Avery Sunshine turned out the Birchmere! She has a wonderful voice and is very personable and funny. She immediately got the audience involved by singing "My Girl" as the opening song. This Temptations song has the lyrics...."I got Sunshine on a cloudy day" which was so appropriate considering she did bring sunshine to the audience. She incorporated some old school music in her songs. I will definitely go see her again.

I was visiting my daughter in NY and decided to go to the Apollo Theater..

Avery Sunshine is a phenomenal artist and engaging performer. She connects with her audience musically and spiritually. Within 30 seconds, you feel like you are sitting in your living room with one of your best girlfriends. Her voice is powerful, her music is lyrical, and her presence is captivating. Every time Avery Sunshine performs in a city near me, I will be there!

It all started with Julie Dexter who hurt us pretty bad(which is a great thing)! She just opened her mouth and poured out her SOUL! Avery Sunshine came out next and busted everybody's head OFF!!! She was so funny(as usual)! My big sister grabbed OUR souls mended them and just filled the whole place with SUNSHINE!! Live Tropical Fish ended it all by sending us to the moon!! They are a phenomenal band with two great singers!! Concerts like these are what the world needs!! I'm sooo grateful to have seen these magnificent acts come together to rock ATL!!! I don't know if there will ever be another one like it! wheeeeew...!
