I've adored the Wylliams/Henry Contemporary Dance Company for years, but I was sorely disappointed by the event "On Cypress Avenue." A lot of walking, a lot of floor-rolling, a lot of shoulder-rolling, but not much else. Bill Shapiro's incessant bragging on NPR about "total control of the music" before agreeing to be included in the evening didn't help. Just a sad, disappointing evening. I'll definitely come to another WHCDC performance ... but please don't invite I-think-I'm-a-celebrity-Shapiro. He reminded me of the cartoon character, Mr. Peabody. Good luck next time, WHCDC.
