Favorite moment: McCoy Tyner was the highlight of the show but he only played two short songs. @

I am a huge Alice Coltrane fan and saw her perform at UCLA a few years ago. It was such a magical event and was easily one of my favorite concerts I have ever been to. So when I saw this Tribute was coming to UCLA I was very excited. But I was so so truly disappointed. With the exception of the extremly short two song performance by McCoy Tyner, the rest of the show seemed very amateur as well as not really capturing the essence of Alice Coltrane's music. I do appreciate the effort to put on this event, but honestly speaking I have to say it missed its mark.

Aside from the last song "Love Supreme" featuring her daughter Michelle Coltrane, I couldn't see the "tribute" part to Alice Coltrane very much.
