I know I haven't been to the circus in probably 30 years, but it certainly has changed a lot. Although my 5 1/2-yr old daughter was largely impressed (and my 86-yr old grandmother as well), I found it to be a little weak on the animal entertainment and what was "promised" by the souvenirs and program. Before the show started, we were inundated with overpriced sides - photo shoot, bouncy train, clown face painting - and tacky souvenirs. I guess this was to be expected. What was dismaying, though, was that one of the biggest features of the souvenir stands never appeared in the show. Stuffed white tigers were available in all shapes and sizes, the smallest and cheapest being $15. But no tigers featured in the show, not even brown ones. It's good that my daughter failed to notice this omission, or she might have been disappointed.
We did buy her a souvenir program, probably the cheapest souvenir you could get, but sadly the majority of the content in it did not match the show we saw. The acrobats and contortionists were good, and we all enjoyed the trampoline and high wire acts. I found most of the show to be a loud, overblown musical show that had more clown antics than contortionists.

Favorite moment: Mr. Power was the most engaging act of the circus - he and Lady Lightning were fantastic, but again, not included in the program. @
