Favorite moment: When Jack Davey brought folks on stage to wild out with her @
Setlist: J Davey did tracks from their new album coming out soon, "Smells like Teen Spirit (cover)" "Quicksand", "Raincheck" some others I had not heard. Then she of course performed older songs, "No More" , "Crawl all over", "Get Together", ect.. Would have loved to hear "Might as well", but it didnt matter because I was blown away with the live version of the other songs. She sounds better then the record. Always a good sign! :) @
Opening act(s): Overall I would say the opening acts were good. Very unique individuals and they provided a lot of East Coast sounding beats which I enjoyed. It was definitely REAL music. @
Now, to be honest, I gave the rating a 4 only b/c Blu held up the other star from being clicked. I had never heard of Blu before but trust when I say that J DAVEY saved the night. Maybe it was an off night for him, but he just didn't work the stage. I could tell he had a following because of the love the fans in the front showed him, but his delivery was very regular. You could tell he was talented with the lyrics that he was spitting and some of his beats were cool, but overall it wasn't a hit with me. He stood closer to stage left instead of working the hold stage. I was more hype for the acts before him. They seemed to be super hype to be on stage. Now...The Energy that J DAVEY brought to the stage is unexplainable. I love their music and Miss Jack Davey will NOT disappoint with her delivery of those notes. I will definitely go see them again in LA. Like I said, it could have been an off night for Blu, but I would still recommend that yall check them out and see for yourself.
