Alarms Will Sound presents 1969 is a retrospective for the thinker. The multi-media presentation ties the music, social and political scenes of the '60s era together using a very current 2011 lens. The angst of the 1960s established ways versus, change and rebellion, posing as avant-garde music, create an aural and cognitive dissonance in some parts of the presentation. While the overall impression you have when you walk out of the theater is the realization that the 1960s leaders in the forefront of their fields advanced our social and global thinking to a higher plane. It truly was a revolution of a kind not seen before. It makes you think. 1969 makes you consider how the events of the 1960s shape the current music, social and political scenes.
