I admit this is not my normal type of music I listen to but I enjoyed the whole concert very much. The atmosphere was entertaining at times with the "mosh-pits" but it was very lively. Enjoyed it a lot. Great music.

Favorite moment: The best moment was when the merch guy jumped off the stage and nobody caught him. The look on Tosin's face was priceless! @
Opening act(s): The opening acts were decent....tho I wish they were bands that fit Animals as Leaders style of music better. @

I really enjoyed this event at the Beaumont Club, it was not too big and over crowed, so I felt like the bands gave the crowd personal attention. Tosin Abasi was amazing as ever, and even got a chance to meet and talk with him after the show. He is such a modest and nice guy who just has a deep passion for music. The opening bands were ok, but I wish the opening bands were more of Animals as Leaders style...but I realize that such a request is difficult and that most all the bands that played were under the same record label...Overall, great time, exceeded my expectations. Hope Animals as Leaders comes back to KC some time, haha
P.S. Bring TRAM, Chimp Spanner, and Periphery with you ;D for opening bands haha

This is strike number three for Northern Lights. This was an amazing set of bands that I really wanted to see and they almost totally ruined it. The volume was so loud that the Dead Letter Circus singer's voice was getting clipped. The mixing of instruments was awful, even for the headliner, Animals as Leaders. I saw AaL at the House of Blues in Boston and they sounded absolutely amazing. Bottom line: this was one of the best line-ups I've seen for a tour at one of the worse venues I've been too. It amazes me that the sound technicians there still have jobs.

Overall the best concert I've been too. First concert where I loved all the bands. Only problem I had with the show was Dead Letter Circus had the volume cranked. This made their sound distorted so you couldn't hear all the effects. Which is important, especially for them, because they use a lot of layering in their sound. But other than that everything else was amazing. Definitely hope to see all of them again there in the future.
