This concert was on Fire!!!! At 79 Bobby Rush still puts on one of the best shows I've ever seen next to Frankie Beverly & Maze. From start to finish he worked the crowd and had us, especially the men, on our feet!!! Can't wait to see him again! As far as Sir Charles, he only performed three songs. We were disappointed but Bobby Rush made up for what he didn't do !!!

All of the performers were great EXCEPT RUDE!! He was a hot mess and had too much mumbo jumbo going on! No one was paying attention. I really liked Kenne' Wayne! I also loved the surprise guest Tucka!! Yay! I'm glad I got to see him.

I will be back next year! If Rude is on the bill, let him go first so I can be late, or last, so I can leave early!!

This was suppose to be a "Zydeco Blues Bash" and they had this band (Rude) on the stage. This event was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT for my companion and I. This was our first and last time attaining this event!!!!!

I got cursed at at the Blues Festival. Not literally cursed out by one particular person but cursed out as in all the vulgarities that were flying around from the performers. I didn't really understand the purpose of it. It was so unnecessary. I really don't go to rap concerts and listen to too much hip hop for this very reason. We are really too intelligent to let all that filth come out of our mouths. From the first performer to the last it was almost non stop cursing and my seats were horrible. I could see but I thought the seats were going to be on the floor. I was so not satisfied. So no I would not recommend to any of my friends and probably won't go ever again.

Denise LaSalle was great. A great line up to start a blues concert. Please bring her back next year because that is why I purchased the ticket the moment I heard that she was on the show. Also, Clarence the man Carter, one of a kind. He knows how to handle the crowd and song what people wanted to hears.

This was a great experience. For me to see legendary singers such as Bobby Rush, Shirley Brown, Floyd Taylor and Bobby Blue Bland is indescribable. Sir Charles Jones is so sexy in person.

The Atlanta Blues Festival was absolutely great! This was my first time I will be going to future blues events! All of the performers were great. Millie Jackson looked AMAZING! Sir Charles Jones performed "ok" he seemed as he wanted to get the audience more involved, but walking out in the audience (without a microphone) was the wrong approach.

THE PERFORMANCES WERE ELECTRIFYING!!!!! . . . ALL OF THE GROUPS WERE GREAT . . . . BUT THE KLASSBAND TURNED IT OUT!!!!! THOSE YOUNG BROTHERS CAN REALLY "SANG" AND DANCE!!!!! and THEY ARE SHARP DRESSERS.

Opening act(s): Theodis Ealey was a great opening act to get everyone going with the spirit of the event, but the second group (whose name I don't recall) seemed like maybe a "fill-in" or something because they didn't play the same type music as any of the other groups. @

The entire show was great, although I wondered about the second group who seemed somewhat out of place as basically a 'Rock & Roll' group playing with everyone else who was blues, jazz and R&B. Theodis Ealey is a true master of the guitar, Mel Waiters and Lattimore were most entertaining and the lyrics of one of Sir Charles Jones' songs really spoke to me personally. This was the first Blues Festival I have attended and I look forward to going to more.

I love this concert. I go every year and it never gets boring. It's hands down the best concert of the year. I wish they had 2 or 3 a year. Acts were a little 2 fast this year, but Millie Jackson was a good replacement for Marvin. She winds it down & fits well like he did to close the show out. Mel was sexy as ever and Theodis always does his thing. Really missed Floyd T. & Latimore. Cant wait for next year!!
