I was surprised at how thin the seeds were and the final was not much of a contest between Berakis and Querry with Querry dominating.
I think all the ticket holders got less value because of the impact of the Olympic that attracted all the seeded players. My suggestions would be, Framer to offer everyone who came a discount for next year when the seeds situation is as it should be. The attendance tell the story, and for those who showed up, they are owed something. There is a big gap between the Palm Dessert open and the UCLA venue.

coming from the combat sports scene i was urged by my wife to come check out a live tennis match, coming into this i had low expectations that id be excited to see pro tennis, but boy was i wrong! awesome event, family atmosphere and heated matches that'll still get "ohhhss" and "ahhhsss" even out of an avid fight fan. the smashes, power shots and the speed of the ball when seen with the naked eye is really an experience all on it's own. ucla tennis center is a very intimate vrnue, not a bad seat in the house, very very close to the action! if youre a fan of sports in general, you wont regret checking out the farmers classic series when its in town! world class professional tennis at its best!

I always love going to UCLA to watch tennis and most importantly love that local pros come out to support the event. The matches were great and the players are so up close and personal.

The food options are subpar, bring back Wolfgand Puck! And you need a better water sponsor, bring back Evian! There should be a better selection of "Farmers Classic" or "US Open Series" merchandise, magnet, keychains, pins, or at least hats! Also, there needs to be a bigger bar, like you used to have. One little stand means waiting in line for 20 minutes in the blazing sun for a beer, not good. The tennis is great, but the rest is not as good as it was just a few years ago.

The match itself was entertaining enough. The venue is very nice. But the seats weren't great. For nearly $130 for two tickets, the seats were in row 20 of 24. We couldn't have been much farther away from the court without actually staying at home and watching on TV.
I wouldn't recommend these seats unless you are a serious, die-hard tennis fan who doesn't really care where you sit.
The only way I will go next year is if I can somehow get WAAAAAYYYY better seats for a reasonable amount of money.

I thought that the set up was cool. They had a whole back area behind the court with all different types of vendors. It was very simple to find your seat. The only thing that would have really been better was the quality of the seating. It could have been a little more comfortable, but all seating was prime view.

This is a fun event for all tennis fans in the Southern CA area. Held at the beautiful tennis facility on the UCLA campus, this event attracts several of the top 25 men's players including Del Potro, Fish, Blake, Haas, Gonzalez at this year's tournament (2011). Ticket prices are extremely reasonable but no matter where you sit, you will be close up to the action. Check out the practice court as well to watch your favorite players up close warming up before their matches

I love this tournament. So close at UCLA - great facilities, relaxed atmosphere, wonderful champion players. It is a very intimate main court - any seat is a good seat. It is terrific.
