How wonderful that you've initiated classical music programming with the Parker Quartet! They were young, enthusiastic, and played vibrantly. The group really worked so well together, and their decision to include both well-known and new repertoire was perfect. We look forward to hearing them again next season.

Don't have to be a big fan of classical music to love this quartet; overflowing with energy; gifted musicians and great selection of pieces to play.

the Parker Quartet's Wednesday evening at the Freer sustained an outstanding track recort that classical chamber music devotees have accostomed themselves to. The acoustics are good and Dvorak's Cypresses gave a melodic run-in to the more challenging Ligeti and Beethoven 131 quartets. It was an interpretive evening, dominated by the quartet's energy and their ability to put real life into music full of the unexpected - no matter how familiar.

This quartet played with precision and emotion, plus youthful enthusiasm. Loved the eclectic program as well.
