Had a great time at the Mercury Tennis Tournament at Carlsbad. The stadium is awesome and rhe staff were amazing.
The only negative was the food choices especia;;y of you are vegetarian. You're stuck with eating french fries and some reallyawful pretzels.

We had courtside seats and the view of the players was unbelievable! The game was exciting and fun to watch.

Way too expensive. $5 for water, really! $8 for a 12 ounce beer. After friday day event went too long, doubles match was moved to a later time at a different court. When I asked several people working event, no one knew what time it started. I asked an usher by the new court, " what if there is not enough room for all the spectactors ?" his response, "thats not my problem."
I would only recommend this event to a friend if they brought their own food and drinks.

It was a good deal for the price. Even despite the less than stellar player field, the matches ended up being great since the top seeds made it through til the end.
The venue is always a fantastic place to watch tennis!

In comparing this to last year, this was a disappointment for sure. Not only very few ranked players, the amount of other courts and amount of players was ridiculous. Only having one stadium of events was a real disappointment.
The parking was so far away which seemed pointless with an empty parking lot in front.
During the hot weather it would also be nice to have some water available other than from portapotties which ran out, to wash the face and hands during the day.
It is a nice facility and tournament but a few little things could really make it good.
