This was the first time that me and my husband took our 5 and 6 year olds to a show. I was happy we did this, because this show was for every age so my kids and us adults liked it equally.

It was not what I expected but it had cute moments. It may be OK to see if you know a performer otherwise it's like watching other people's kids at a recital, a bit painful. My kids were happy to leave at intermission and go to the bakery next door for cookies. The show has some charm to it because the performers are from the community so I understand why some people like it. I won't be going again. By the way, the theater is beautiful!

The show was amazing!!! It was our family's first time, but won't be the last!!! My three daughters went to Mrs Rosemary's in New Dorp for years!!! Doreen has taken on a legacy that is hard to beat, but she did it!!! Her mom would be proud!! We will be attending more venues at the theater in time to come!!! Kudos to Doreen and the entire ensemble!!!!!

While the set designs were magnificent and the dance numbers fabulous which made the show worth seeing- some new additions like the "Dickens scene" were utterly ridiculous, boring, hard to follow and just plain a waste of viewers time!! I realize the actors and directors were amateurs-but at least put something together that was somewhat entertaining!! I could also do without the long drawn out musical numbers at the end-which appeared to be more of a comedy, like a skit out of Saturday Night Live-with the exception of the two male singers who at least were entertaining and a sang on key- they should have stuck to the fun, upbeat childrens numbers and left out the adult "wanna be" stars!! But at least it provided an excellent time for bathroom and concession stand breaks. Overall it's worth taking a child to for the price of a $20 ticket- Get there late to avoid the the "Dickens catastrophe" but unfortunately the best scene "the nativity" follows the comical singing numbers at the end-so you'll have to suffer through that!!

There were 6 of us ages 1 to 49 in our party and not a single one of us had a good time. We left before the end. My 5 year old screamed "thank goodness for that, it's over" at the interval and burst into years when he discovered there was more to go. It felt like an amateurish school production, except my kids were not in it, so no proud mummy moments to save the production!

I take my mom in law every yr since it has opened and it never disappoints!!
I honestly started going because i know one of the Richmonettes and went to see her,
but now we not only go because of her but because we truley enjoy the show that much.

I gave it 4 stars over all in consideration of the "volunteer" nature of the performers. For a non professional group they entertained and satisfied the emotional need for a good Christmas production at the height of the Noel season. That said, there were a few performers of distinct, professional quality like Marcus Simeone who sang White Christmas and the Ave Maria and did both with mastery. There was also Cilea, who excited the audience with her superb vocal rendition of Marshmallow World and whose sultry voice highlighted a duet scene of Baby It's Cold Outside. Also noteworthy were Al DiMauro whose melodic voice did more than justice to a medley of Christmas favorites and Victoria Davis whose soft soprano voice thrilled all with her beautiful Silent Night.

Show flowed well from scene to scene. Great orchestra. Some dancing was excellent, as was some of the singing. However, people volunteered their time, so do not expect a Broadway show. Overall, I would go again, however would wait until my children, ages 7 and 4, were older.
The show did a wonderful job of getting people into the holiday spirit!

usher had a hard time finding correct seats for the three of us , I had to go and get a Superviser to help us . In the beginning of the play a group of adults came with supervisio n from and instatitution and were very loud , but as much as the supervisior told them to hush up thethey continued to be noise till they were seated. then just before the finalyy the supervisied adults started to leave nad from then on we could not hear the rest of the Show. We did enjoy the Play Children , Young Adults were Great , THIS WAS < AND IS GREAT LOCAL TALENT, we will come again. P.S. turn up the Organ. thats the best part of the Theater , I've been here to see many , many movies in the past , and I remember Matirion watching Young Children if they were not accompanined by and Adult, That's along time ago. Good luck in Your restoration. WE are glad to help You Out.
