The area was perfect for the venue. Incognito and chill. I had a lot of fun seeing Astronautalis, Dream Tiger and ESPECIALLY WHY?

But Why? let me impressed. I didn't realize the amount of different instruments Why? uses in their music until I came to this concert so I was amazed.

But like I said, I came for Astronautalis so seeing him was absolutely awesome but seeing as I listened to 2 of Why?'s albums I wasn't completely lost when they came on. They definitely left an impression on me

I really love WHY?- And the space was a really cool one too- I'm not 21 yet so I can't comment on the balcony, but it had tables and chairs and alcohol- if you're there early you can get really close, and even rest yourself on the stage if you so choose. The bands came out after the show and you got to talk to them & have them sign things- a really A-okay experience.

While this show was to feature the local act Why? and Astronautalis was supporting them...he is actually who our group went to see.

Dream Tracker opened and did about 3 or 4 tracks of her own which was okay. She is local to the Cincinnati music scene. Kind of boring but like old fashioned poetry set to some dream theme sci-fi synthesizer. Hypnotically boring but she was brave and I liked her style. There were 6 of us in our group and no one hated her act ... it was just eh.

Asronautalis was amazing. I had been a fan of his for a few years but never been to a show. As a matter of fact...it was a first for all of us. Seeing him on YouTube is NOTHING like the live stuff. He kills it the entire time.

We did not even stay for Why? because Andy (Astronautalis) was doing autographs and meeting fans at the merchandise table outside the stage area.

As a person, he was amazingly kind, patient and fun. Could not have asked for more.

Why?, why did you keep us waiting so long? The opening acts were so terrible, especially Dose One--so repulsive!--and the wait was so long, we left without ever having seen Why? They were the whole reason we bought tickets. What a disappointment!

The opening band (Serengeti) was very well matched genre-wise with WHY? and warmed the audience up well with songs from their new album Family and Friends. WHY? serenaded the audience with songs from their new album which has yet to be released, as well as songs from prior albums such as Alopecia. All in all, the performance was outstanding. The venue was personal, and save one fourLoko clad boy in a beanie, the audience remained seated, though they enjoyed the show thoroughly. WHY? sounded even better than they do on their EPs and the harmonizing could not be beat. All of this was topped off by Yoni's famous dance moves and hilarious side comments. Overall, an awesome concert.

I've wanted to see Why? live for so long. I had tickets to the Sept. show and when he canceled my girlfriend and I were so upset. I found out they rescheduled and surprised her with tickets. They played a lot of new stuff; there were personal favorites that I didn't hear. That said, Why? is so good, hearing new stuff was just a special treat. Check it out!
