The band was awful altogether. Their songs were all over the place ranging from metal to emo to jam band.
Aside from the overall letdown of the band, the sound was HORRENDOUS! The sound check was non existant and the amps often let out piercing screeches. I am not sure if the band, the venue or both were horrible but I would not recommend this concert to anyone.

We went to the first record release party and these guys are the real deal. Since that party a year or so ago, they have had a residency at the Brooklyn bowl and have toured extensively and have even almost died in car accidents. They return alive and well with a new bass player who plays as well as Kiyoshi did, but lacks the front man singing skills that lead to two of their greatest songs, "shes in control" and my personal favorite, the epic "dizzy". Despite that change Tash Neal, the lead guitarist/ singer, is doing better than ever, and has changed up his style very little. He was given a second guitar, a dobro, and there was a short time where the new bass player left and he rocked with Chris, the Ginger Baker-esque drummer, who sings well and plays even better. They covered AC/DC's "its a long way to the top", Bowie's "it aint easy" and closed with a rockin', balls to the walls cover of the Faces "stay with me".

Possibly the best rock act I've seen since a 1980 The Clash and Midnight Oil. They are destined to fill stadiums.

I loved this show. The London Souls were amazing. But I have to say that the band "Gonzo Jones" who played before them were absolutely fantastic. I definitely think they are on the fast track to being BIG stars. I wish them both lots and lots of success. I also believe you should book "Gozo Jones" as headliners. I also thought that DJ Jonny Sollis was incredible. He knew exactly what the crowd needed to keep them in the dance mood. WOW what a great night.

Show opened with the phenomenal band Gonzo Jones (formerly the Auctioneers) whose ass-kicking vocals and riveting guitar riffs appropriately set the stage for The Souls, a classic rock power trio, a la Cream and the Hendricks Experience, but with a powerfully original spin. How good are The Souls? - guys almost make you forget their predecessors. All in all a fabulous double bill.
