The bus situation was great getting there, but took over an hour and a half to get back. Parking lot couldn't have been dustier or bumpier. Food prices were incredibly expensive.

The Northern Trust Open was awesome. Took my boys and spent two full days there and we had a great time. It is a well run PGA golf tournament

My wife an I had a great time. All the people, from the police helping with parking, bus drivers, marshals and everyone associated with the event were extremely friendly, curious and helpful. There were ample opportunities to get close to the golfers, which is always fun to be able to see them up close and personal.

Going to see professional golfers is always enlightening. They are so good and make it look so easy. Anyone who golfs should go this event, especially on a Thursday or Friday as you can get so close to the players.

Riviera is a beautiful course unlike any other. The Kakuya grass makes for some challenging shots that tests the pros versatility. The 315 par 4 10th hole yields some interesting scores. Parking at the VA hospital is free but insanely crowded, I parked at the civic center for $5 and was provided a free shuttle to and from and didn't even have to wait just got on and left.

It is a wonderful way to spend a beautiful sunny California day for anyone who follows golf. We enjoy seeing the pros up close and personal and getting some good exercise walking around the beautiful Riviera Country Club. The VA parking lot is very dusty, but the transportation system with the buses is quite good. Concessions are okay, decent selection and prices.

The only wish is to have more food vendors, choices is very important. I hope to see a variety of food choices next year. Mexican, chinese, pho, ramen, and other ethnic foods. I was happy to spend $27 for the bulogi korean burgers. We got 4 sliders which were packed with meat, lettuce, onions, korean sauce and delicious bread. At $12 for 2 sliders it was worth the eat and the price.

I've been to several PGA tournaments and this was definitely my least favorite. The volunteers were dressed in khaki and black and they blended in with half of the fans there. They also didn't do a good job of controlling the noise and activity around the greens. The tent on 14 was full of folks who had no idea a golf tournament was being played and no one quieted them down. Also the parking was in a very dusty lot, our car was covered in dust. It took 1.5 hours to ride the bus two miles from the clubhouse to the parking lot, what a nightmare. The course was pretty and easy to walk but was not well marked for visitors.

Everything was wonderful along with the weather. Lots of volenteer's to help if you had any questions. I liked the fact that their were not a lot venders (anyway we didn't see them) trying to sell you something you did not need. Great bus trip from the parking lots. Next year may try and attend more than one day.

Loved the course, loved the golf, it was a great time. Easy parking at the VA and great transportation on the buses. Only problem was getting back on the buses. The traffic was a nightmare through Brentwood.

The day, venue and golf play was awesome!! However, my 3 star rating only comes from what I would describe as "misrepresentation" of ticket privileges. We bought the $85 ticket that described "club house access". What that, apparently, meant was that we could walk through the door and use the rest room. All other activities in the club house and certain sitting areas were "off limits" to us. I will never buy the most expensive ticket for this golf event. I recommend the lowest price ticket that you can buy at the event gate and this way, if the weather is terrible - you haven't wasted your money.
