Mr. Hakhnazaryan's playing is lyrical, expressive, and remarkably flexible. His phrasing feels as though he channels the composer's intent. His technique as a cellist is as liquid as a bow hand that appears to have no bones. The audience was understandably very enthusiastic and I believe that a wider audience would have been no less appreciative. I look forward to hearing him play Haydn or Boccherini with a distinguished orchestra and Bach solo.

This was the first time I had the opportunity to listen to this great talent .I enjoyed the musical event for two reasons: impeccable technique and sensitive interpretation of the pieces chosen for the occasion. Library of Congress ought to be congratulated for organizing such world class events.

Great Cellist

I was expecting a young guy doing his best to play his cello, but I find a great musician with a lot of passion for his instrument and really proud of his Armenian nationality.
Great cellist and hope to see him again on DC and everywhere.
I am Colombian and it would be great if next year he can Join the Cartagena music festival at January.
Thanks for a great performance.
