It is great to hear Sammy still has an unbelievable rock and roll voice. As a fan of the album, it was great to hear it in it's entirety. As a Van Halen fan, a little disappointed with no songs. But the evening was a great rock n roll experience. As Sammy said last night, "We just wanted to record some songs that don't sound like the same crap you've been listening to for 20 years". Mission accomplished. Fresh sound, Joey was great on the guitar. Michael played a great bass, and Chad was thunderous and entertaining. I'm jealous of the maybe 50 people who got to catch one of his drumsticks.

These experienced rockers know how to have fun and pull the audience into it with them. A fun, full set with lots of energy and no pandering to their fans, just straight-ahead rock n' roll and an evening of fun.

The Chickenfoot show on Sept 27th, 2009 was absolutely FANTASTIC! The band rocked as hard as any band I have ever seen. Each member participated in the show, Satriani was his usual SCARY GREAT, not even Eddie has faster fingers than Sach! Sammy is still amazing after all these years, Michael well, what can you say about the corner stone of ANY band he might perform in, Van Halen IS the loser where he is concerned. and Chad Smith, I have never seen a drummer get more involved with the whole show than he was! He sang, shouted, cut-up, and PARTICIPATED in the show! Everyone was exciting and fresh. I was also very glad that they played their OWN music and didnt play past bands stuff. I was refreshing to NOT hear them do any VH or RHCP's or those sort of songs. Sammy made a comment to the crowd that we would be seeing them again sooner then we think, but with Smith going back to Peppers thats going to leave a MONSTER hole in the band that I think will be difficult to replace.
That being said, if they come back with the same line up or maybe a little different I WOULD GO SEE THEM AGAIN and recommend that everyone who calls themselves rock fans to go see them just FOR THE SHEER PLEASURE AND EXCITEMENT THE BAND PRODUCES!

These guys were absolutely amazing!!! Sammy's voice, of course, rocked the house. We were right up front as usual (I am a HUGE Sammy fan). We were in front of Joe, and this guy is an incredible guitar player. We have never seen Joe before and we were definitely pleased. Chad and Michael were able to come somewhat over to our side, so we got some awesome pictures. Will definitely been seeing them whenever they come back to town (or nearby). Am willing to drive anywhere to see them!!!! If you haven't seen them yet, you need to plan on it. You will not be disappointed.

First of all, hey, its sammy! He never dissapoints, and always rocks! Love the fact he and michael still have that old van halen chemistry, and joe, wow, its easy to see why they call him smoke! As for chad, dont think you could have picked a better timekeeper. I mean, the man rocks! Not to mention funny, you sure he"s not will ferrel? You put those four together, you cant have a bad time. Lookin forward to some more music from the feathered four, hopefully soon... Now for some reason, where we were sitting, well, mostly standing, the mix didnt seem real well, Joe kinda drowned out sammys voice, and thats hard to do, and not that I dont like it loud, it just seemed kinda overbearing, again, probably the mix comin through where we were sittin. Now, the closer you got, (not that i snuck all the way down to the pits, dont think i did) the music was even louder, but definatly clearer... Overall, had a great time!

All four of these guys are legends with a lot of experience. I believe that the album was written and recorded on their own, without record company interference. I think they can pull this off because they are veteran musicians. Hence, it is pure artistry. They came together and created music out of pure love for their craft and to continue a legacy of great rock music through the ages. The concert was everything I would have expected. They had a lot of fun and it was a real treat for the fans.

Chickenfoot -- I wasn't sure WHAT to expect. I hadn't heard ANY of their stuff until the trip up (by design), so I was wide open to what I might see and hear.
Man oh man! It was a given that I was going to see Queensryche for the first time, BUT my second objective was to see Joe Satriani being the guitar guy. WOW! I heard more than one person wondering aloud whether "he can measure up to Eddie," and -- HUH? Are you KIDDING me? Wow -- Joe is so far out there that no amount of rehab will give Eddie a shot at matching his lead riffs. I don't mean to be cruel or dismissive -- I only mean to say that Joe was THAT on. What struck me was his attitude about just being the lead player and not the star -- he was loving it, and the entire band was playing off of that sassiness. Of course, Chad walked in the room with that same attitude, Sammy had a shot (no -- a bottle) of Cabo Wabo (STRANGE that it was the only tequila for sale in the house! hahahaha) and Michael Anthony stepped WAY up in holding down the bottom for this stellar cast. We split at the end of the regular set, but heard Montrose's "Paper Money" on the way out the door. Haven't had that much fun since seeing Pat Travers Band's new lineup at the Jumping Turtle! I kid you not. WOW --- If they're headed your way, GO. Even if you're on the fence, go anyway. Oh wait -- they DID mention that tomorrow in LA is their last show. Well, if you're there, GO!
They hinted that they'll be back . . . stay tuned and DON'T miss 'em next time!

I went to this show to see Queensryche, a highly favorite band of mine. They were
awesome as always. The vocal sound was low and needed to be turned up and
they only played a total of 40 minutes. What a joke! I paid $60 to see a 40 minute show
and this makes me upset. The group of people I was with were there to see Chicken-
foot and they were happy with that part of the show. The sound for Chickenfoot was
really great and I feel that Geoff Tate of QR was ripped off. It was probably planned
since Geoff's voice is the most awesome voice around and Sammy just can't sing
like that. I was happy that Chickenfoot played a Montrose song, that was cool. It was
also cool when Sammy played the drums and Chad fooled around on the guitar.
The Greek Theater seating is painful if you have injured discs in your back as I do.
I was very uncomfortable all night due to the cement block seats and no backing.
I had no idea of this set up which I guess is my fault for not looking into it.

I actually hadn't heard the new cd before the concert. Queensryche and Sammy Hagar were the original draws for me. I was pleasantly surprised and have to get the cd now!!! The band had great chemistry. Chickenfoot's songs were awesome and all of the members of the band had great energy. I loved the different personalities!! Joe's playing was just amazing.... I went to this show with high expectations and was very disappointed. While Satriani's guitar virtuosity was mildly entertaining, they were too loud and the distortion was so bad that I couldn't understand any of the lyrics. I could tell Sammy was singing but it might as well have been in another language because it was totally unintelligible. After a couple songs I got bored and sat down. My friend and I left before the encore.
