Derek Smith's performances are always phenomenal. His energy, presentation, palpable love and appreciation for what he does for everyone before him leaves the crowd with an insatiable hunger for more good tunes to bounce to. All the way throu, people sway their arms, back and forth, to the brilliantly composed songs of a man who knew exactly what path he was destined to take. Staying true to their roots, Pretty Lights continues to refresh and restore our souls with a creative blend of electronic, soulful hip hop sounds that never leaves the crowd still at any moment. As an aspiring producer of hip hop, soul, complextro and tech house, Pretty Lights will always be one of my biggest influences and I am consistently working towards the opportunity to work with such talent.

I've been to quite a few concerts and saw PL last summer at Red Rocks too, along with NYE at the First Bank Center. Last summer's show was the best concert I've been to... until August 17th's 2012 PL show. I describe the concert as "magical," "beautiful," and just plain incredible. The beautiful venue with the music of talented EDM artist, Derek Vincent Smith was perfect along with the very pretty lights (sorry for the pun) of the stage and lasers going off all over. Truly the best way to end my summer vacation.

This was crazy. The first night was super enjoyable.. but the second night was insane. Not only did it seem like there were more people there the second night but the atmosphere had a ton more energy. honestly not a fan of under 21 events but what can i do?

By far the most fun someone could have at a concert. Amazing atmosphere, with amazing vibes, Pretty Lights really does send the dance floor into a frenzy unlike any other artist I have seen. If you have not seen him yet or are thinking about it, stop reading and find a show!!

For four hours Derek took us on a magical, dreamlike journey through his entire discography, including a bunch of new unreleased material. It felt like it lasted a lifetime and 5 minutes at the same time. The cityscape light show was unprecedented. And the vibe....you had to be there to understand.

This event was incredible ! Completely recommend it as a must attend at least once in your lifetime. Pl's music is just an exotic blend of funky electro-soul with a hint of classic hip hop thrown in for good measure. Prepare for the beats to drop, as his show's will take you for quite the vibed out ride. And most importantly enjoy those lights!! Perfect for the laid back raver

Overall the show was simply amazing. Pretty Lights is definitely one of my favorite artists/musicians and he did an awesome performance and the lazers/lights were mind blowing. This was my first time going to an actual concert at the US Cellular Coliseum and even though security was a little weird about glow sticks, etc the seating and arrangement of the venue was great. I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. We were up a little ways but we could see perfectly. Good venue, AMAZING performance, hope Pretty Lights comes this way again soon :)
