We chose to see the Addams Family because we thought that it would entertain our 13-yr old son. He did not want to go see a play. Once the show started, he was laughing and said afterwards that it was much better than he expected.
I did enjoy the first act more than the second act. I thought that the first act was funnier than the second act focused more on "love", which is usually a good thing, but I was in the mood for comedy.

We took our 10 year old son to see his first Broadway show and The Addams Family bowled him over. Everything from the amazing cast to the astounding set lived up to everything he had dreamed a Broadway show could be. Bravo to Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth, they certainly deserved a Tony Award nod! We will recommend this to everyone we know, it is certainly not to be missed!

We attended a matinee performance of The Addams Family with a Group of 10.
The consensus of the group was excellent!!! Everyone tought the performance was well staged and the actors were all perfectly suited to their roles.

Nathan Lane - as always - is a hoot. He certainly brings humor and delight to this role as he does with any role he portrays. Bebe Neuwirth was Morticia - absolutely!!! Who knew "Fraser's ex-wife" was so talented!!. The character of Uncle Fester was played to perfection. "Lurch" was lots of fun and just as stoic as we recalled from the old TV series. Grandma was full of humor and wisdom " stop texting and pick up a book" ; the children - Wednesday and Puglsie were complete with their usual sense of tortuous playmates!!! Also good to see "Thing" make an appearance.
Our entire group agreed that the choice we made to attend The Addams Family as our first theater group outing was a great decision - and a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon in NYC

I bought tickets to watch this musical for my girlfriend and myself. We were celebrating an anniversary and we were excited about the show. When we walked into the theater, the experience started with hosts, hostesses, door greeters, ticket takers, and other staff dressed in costume as if they were part of the show, attire riddled with torn and tattered clothing, steampunk chains, dark and dreary costumes, just as the Addams would like it. We took our seats and from beginning to end, we were on the edge of our seats laughing hysterically and anxiously waiting for the next joke. Stage presence was excellent! The props were spot on and with so many configurations of the props, the stage was continually renewed into a new scene. The actors/actresses were cast perfectly! Not only was everyone good at playing their character, they looked the part as well!!!! EXCELLENT SHOW! GIRLFRIEND AND I CAN'T STOP TALKING ABOUT IT!

I've seen the Wiz and Cats and normally can't stand musicals but when the opportunity came to see the Addams Family not to mention the last showing, i had to take it. I was skeptical how they could pull off one of the craziest families years before the Simpsons and my favorite family next to the Munsters but they did it and blew away my expectations. Wednesday sounded like she should be on Def Jam recordings and Mrs Beineke was so hot and she could sing too. But Brooke Sheilds on Broadway was the reason i went as i grew up watching her as a kid in the Blue Lagoon. Long story short, it was awesome.

Brooke Shields and the rest of the cast rocked in The Addams Family. Every part was cast well and the acting was superb as was the writing. We couldn't imagine what the plot would be, as The Addams had been done before, but this production was fresh and new!!!

This was absolutely hysterical! We went with my parents and our two teenage daughters and everyone greatly enjoyed the show! The acting was excellent, the costumes and scenery superb, and Brooke Sheilds looked beautiful. We would definitely recommend this for all ages and we hope to have a chance to see it again.

This was my first Broadway play and it was the last performance of The Addams Family, but I loved the TV show as a kid so thought it would be a great first Broadway play for my son (who is 7) as well as my husband and me. It was fantastic! Brooke Shields was amazing as Morticia - singing and dancing - she looks fabulous. The entire program was entertaining and we loved the cast. My son was either laughing or shocked most of the time and really enjoyed it as much as my husband and me. Thanks so much to the entire cast for making our New Years Eve in 2011 the best we have had in years!! (Also, thanks to our Towncar driver for getting us out of New York so quickly with all the crowds after the show was over : )

Too bad it is being canceled. Play was very good. Wife and I are in the generation that watched it on TV. Ganmama and Fester were hilarious. Morticia/Shields was a bit of a disappointment.... no pazzazz!
