This was my first experience hearing Jonas Kaufmann. It was a wonderful concert, his voice is truly beautiful. He was so very generous, giving us FIVE encore pieces, and we all loved it.

Come back to Phoenix, please!

I have seen Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli, and Mr. Kaufmann's voice was every bit as magnificent as theirs! I was awestruck.

Jonas Kaufman and the orchestra were amazing. The power and beauty he possesses in his voice are a God given gift. The music was very touching. If he ever comes back, I will not miss the show.

His voice was suberb. The seats were uncomfortable. I was in the balcony and had trouble hearing portions of the last songs that he sang--too bad he didn't use a microphone. I would have preferred a few more of the most popular tenor arias, eg. Nessun dorma, etc.

Jonas was enjoyable. I had hoped he would sing Nessun Dorma. The theater is beautiful and well taken care of. It would have been nice to have heard more than a dozen songs for the price I paid, but I'm content I attended. I would have also been able to enjoy it more if I were able to tune out the snobs sitting behind me who spent the entire time trying to outdo one another.

Mr. Kaufmann, a Met superstar who recently performed a rare song recital on the Met stage, was a handsome, vocally splendid Faust. He sang the pensive and romantic passages with veiled dusky colorings and tender lyricism, and unleashed pent-up power in full-bodied phrases, capped by fearless high notes.
