I saw Tom at Outside Lands 2012, he was on one of the smaller stages so the crowd was more-less intimate. He rocked the house, every song he played was just pure energy. The coolest part is on the last song he invited about 200 fans to come up on stage and sing with him. He was very political but thats what he's all about, and he managed to send his message in a fun effective way.

I felt he was a terrific musician, very skilled and wonderful to hear. I wish he played some more upbeat songs. I feel his political messages should be more focused on one or two topics and if he mixed a lot more mainstream music in his agenda would be heard by many more people and his message would be much stronger. My partner and I felt weighed down by all of the deep issues throughout the show. He played just a very few lively songs but them immediately brought the mood waaaay down. We would have liked to have more fun.
