Fleet Foxes are one of those rare bands that sound even richer live than they do on record. I couldn't imagine anyone with interest in folk/rock music with vocals not being blown away by seeing these guys in person.

This was my first show at First Ave in Minneapolis and I am glad it was Fleet Foxes! Great music, and they had personality too! The opening band was not good though.

Loved the venue at First Ave, loved watching the show with my fellow hipsters and folkies, loved Dungen (opening band), LOVED the Fleet Foxes. Everyone was absolutely charming and I wanted to be best friends with the whole lot of them. The music was wonderful and entertaining. Many different instruments were used. I loved getting a sneak peak of some of Fleet Foxes' new material. J. Tillman and Robin Pecknold had lots of witty banter. Fleet Foxes is definitely one of my favorite bands. I can't wait to see them again!

They had a good mix of songs from both sun giant and fleet foxes. They sound better live than they do on their album if that is possible. The harmonizing was perfect and Robin Pecknold was amazing to hear live. See them live if you get a chance. Oh and in between songs they told anecdotes which were undoubtedly hilarious.

Overall show was great. Harmonys were perfect. Robin's solo stuff really stood out and sounded amazing. The random tuning of guitars got a little long in between songs but they did a good job entertaining the crowd during this time.

I took the bus from Milwaukee to see the band perform. I viewed it as a pilgrimage and I felt more than fulfilled upon my return home. The fleet foxes are the most humble band I have ever experienced and I trust they will stay that way, softly haunting the world with their eternal vibrations. Rock on, fleet foxes! Stay true!

Definitely one of the best shows I've seen. The band played amazingly and were actually quite funny in between the songs. The harmonies were spot on and the lead singer's voice was to die for. What a gift he has. They played for quite a while, but I only wished for it to go on longer. Go see the band if you get a chance. You won't be disappointed.

The crowd generally seemed to be anxious for Espers to retire, so Fleet Foxes could begin. I wasn't sure what to expect by just listening to their album and EP, but I was immediately blown away. Their voices resonated through the crowd. Not a word was spoken when they began singing a capella. The energy was beautiful. I loved that they opened with two songs about the sun. Drops in a River was so incredibly beautiful. Other highlights were Ragged Wood, Mykonos, Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, and Blue Ridge Mountains. It's hard to see at the Electric Factory in the under 21 standing section but that didn't matter much during the amazing concert. GO SEE FLEET FOXES! Such a beautiful experience

My friend and I decided to see Fleet Foxes in concert after being blown away by their live performance on SNL. They're such great musicians/performers that their performance was more enjoyable than their studio recordings of the same songs. Considering the fact that we had both seen various concerts in the past at the Electric Factory (EF) and felt they were great shows, we had fairly high expectations. The great thing about EF is the ability to see the show from various vantage points. The upstairs bar runs along the right side of the venue all the way up to the stage. You can overlook the band and see things probably closer than from the floor, albeit the side. Unfortunately, no matter where we stood throughout the place, the bass overpowered everything else and gave an overall muddy sound as well as distorting the sound system and vibrating certain sections of the place, creating even more buzz. Considering the clean sound of Fleet Foxes, the sound crew didn't need to push the bass and the volume to such levels. It just doesn't work.

Espers were ok but not enough vocals for me. Fleet Foxes came out let it go man. It was so good to see them relaxed and having a good time. SOLD OUT show as well. I had two extra tickets and sold them for $20...prob. could have gotten double but thats not my style. Cant wait to hear them in the city again.. Play at the troc. next time...bettter sound in my opinion

While the opening band for Fleet Foxes, Espers (a band from the Philadelphia area), was largely forgettable, this made the entrance of the folk rock quintet even more sweet. Though not a band with the extensive catalogues of others, Fleet Foxes certainly entertained with a scintillating mix of deep cuts, new songs, and favorites.
Highlights included ragged wood, white winter hymnal, mykonos, and blue ridge mountains (played during the band's brief encore performance). Yet the concerts most notable facet came in the form of the expert nonchalance of their instrumentation. Seamless switching between instruments all the while maintaining their distinct harmony, the band surpised the audience with quality musicianship, if not a subtle feeling of ennui; "it's throat coat tea with whiskey" lead singer Robin Pecknold remarked to the crowd as he sipped from a mug. Over all the band's performance was excellent, yet left many feeling slightly distant from the band, almost to the point of making the concert seem surreal.
Dreamy harmonies on whimsical/thoughtful lyrics and the mind altering beats were certainly enough to satisfy despite some minor disappointments (length of the show was hamstring-ed by the bands compact catalogue of songs, and the distracting audio problems experienced by some members). Certainly I'd see them again.

The Fleet Foxes show was an incredibly sweet harmonious experience. I will say that I was lulled to sleep by the opening act, which provided a dull poorly orchestrated performance. But the Fleet Foxes did not disappoint. Beautiful in every aspect, can't wait to see them again

This show was absolutely astounding. From the moment they stepped on that stage my jaw dropped. This band is no joke. The emotion Robin Pecknold and the foxes show is to say the least, awe inspiring. I've never heard such beautiful harmonizing in my entire life. This band had me humming their tunes all the way home. If you've never seen Fleet Foxes and you consider yourself a fan, get your ass there! I wish I could rate this with more stars. You will be blown away! I'll be sure to never miss a Fleet Foxes show in my area. They are here to stay, this band will never burn out if they keep pumping out new material and mixing in their old.
