Idina brought her charm and Tony Award winning talent to the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio and put on a performance that garnered multiple standing ovations. She was very personable with the audience interacting at one point when someone was arriving late to their seats and she asked them if she should start over. She also had several people come up on stage to sing with her on a selection from Rent.

Idina at times seemed a little fidgety and perhaps nervous as she paced the stage, brushed back her hair, repositioned her ear piece and walked around her sitting stool as she told her wonderful stories. But as soon as the music began she went into a completely different zone and all of those nervous tics vanished.

The local musicians playing with Idina were remarkable. I saw many of them after the performance and told them what a magnificent job they had done. I wanted to meet the oboe player who was truly outstanding but i was unable to locate her.

Idina signed a multitude of autographs after her performance on the way to her bus.

Thank you Idina for a wonderful evening.

This was one of the most magical memories of my life. Maybe it was the LA philharmonic, maybe it was the company, maybe it was the crowd, maybe it was the venue, maybe it was that is was NYE or maybe it was the charm, wit, style and voice of Idina. This was simply a night that was so beautiful that it could never be duplicated again. Minus all the other beautiful factors mentioned above, Idina was a performer beyond performers. She brought the crowd to tears about Marvin Hamlisch and to laughter with her humor. She really is a performer not to miss. Once you see her you understand why she is so revered among her peers. If you have the chance to see her, don't think about it... just do it!

Idina Menzel was phenomenal! Her voice is magnificent, her song selections fantastic and her overall presence extraordinary. I hated for the show to end and my husband who had never seen her perform live was completely blown away by her talent and charm. Spread the love Idina, you are truly amazing!

Idina Menzel gives all new meaning to the word, "performance." She possesses that extraordinary ability to entertain not only by voice but goes on to demonstrate her generous spirit, wit and charm in order to connect on a deeper level with her audience. It was brilliant. And as for those earlier reviewers who expressed dismay at Disney Hall's acoustics, I couldn't disagree more. They were sublime and we sat on the side in the third row. Even the gold and silver sparkling stars suspended from the ceiling added to the evening's magical atmosphere. It was a breathtaking way to create an enchanting effect for NYE. Menzel's partner, Taye Diggs, also appeared and performed a classic duet with her. Wouldn't have minded hearing another set since the two complement each other so well. The orchestra was spot-on perfection. All-in-all, a superb evening.

Idina Menzel's performance with the LA Philharmonic on New Years Eve was nothing short of magical. She has a powerhouse of a voice with an amazing range and extensive songlist with selections that include everything from upbeat rock to Broadway showtunes to melancholy classics. Her singing is heartfelt and moving and her versatility as a performer really showed at Walt Disney Concert Hall. I was literally brought to tears by her beautiful rendering of Judy Collins' classic Both Sides Now and Jonathan Larson's No Day But Today from Rent.

I have been to many concerts at similarly sized venues, and have never once witnessed the level of interaction by a performer that Idina was able to bring to this large concert hall. She really connected with audience members in a personal and seamless manner. It often felt as though we were sitting in her living room - it feels very natural and not at all forced. She teased audience members who arrived late, was interested in hearing about everyone's New Years resolutions, and involved several people in the audience in Rent's Take Me or Leave Me. Idina is hysterically funny too.

It was a great venue acoustically for Idina to highlight her musical chops, but the orchestra seemed at times a bit out of synch with the arrangements. Idina's incomparable voice can definitely fill an entire music hall, or even several, and does not need a big orchestra to back her.

Taye Diggs, her husband, joined her on stage to sing and again at midnight to ring in the New Year. They make such an adorable couple - it was so sweet to see them on stage together and was one of the highlights of the show.

This is a timeless and beautiful performer who will be around a long time - no question that she defies gravity in Broadway circles but her mark on music extends far beyond that. She is a breath of fresh air in a music scene where artists often take a more cookie cutter approach than one based on originality. It was unforgettable evening and a perfect start to the New Year.

I've always been a big fan of Idina and to see her live, to hear her live was an amazing experience. She has an amazing voice and the show was very heartfelt, funny, and down to earth. Good job Idina!

Barefoot in a gorgeous gown with a NY accent? Exactly! I kept feeling like I had wandered into Idina's living room, she was so relaxed and natural on stage. Loved the songs, loved the banter, loved her randomly pulling folks from the audience, including side balcony, who could actually sing. It would have been fun to hear more new numbers, but beginning and ending (pre-encore) with Wicked was good. (We set this up to start our New Year's Eve in LA totally spur of the moment and are glad we did.)

What a great way to spend New Year's Eve! Ms. Menzel's enthusiasm and energy during her second set of the evening was certainly contagious, spreading quickly through the enthusiastic audience.

Including numbers from Rent and Wicked, the eclectic set also added contemporary pop from Peter Gabriel, U2 and others. Ms. Menzel's self-effacing sense of humor was a breath of fresh air in the somewhat stodgy concert call venue. Rock n' roll attitude in an evening gown.

This was our first visit to the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the star of the show, Idina Menzel. What a fantastic venue! We had great seats and loved the beautiful architecture. Idina was sublime. She is funny and a very talented singer. We can't wait to go back again!

I had no idea what to expect, but was really interested after hearing so much about Menzel. The theater was packed when we arrived and the show was incredibly entertaining from start to finish. Menzel really thought about making the show a memorable event, and her husband Diggs made a cameo towards the end of the show for a duet. Excellent experience for us, and we look forward to Menzel's next event in Los Angeles.

If you have an appreciation for superlative voices, go see Idina Menzel's concert. She is one of those who truly can sing "anything". Great personality, really fun show, from funny to moving. And a talent that keeps your jaw dropping. If you can, try and see her!

I believe that she talked more than she sang during the concert. The sound system was poor and it was difficult to hear the words she was singing. The one song she sang without a mike was clear and beautiful. Whlie we enjoyed her on Broadway I would not pay to see her again in concert.

Quite possibly one of the best concerts I have ever gone to. Idina was funny, engaging, personable, and totally connected to the audience. Sang a wide variety from her repertoire. What a special way to spend my New Year's Eve.
