Attended my first AM&I fight this summer and my advice to boxing fans out there would be to go to the AM&I website and CHECK THE FIGHT CARD BEFORE BUYING! While I appreciate the need for professional fighters just starting out to get some experience, the card was chock full of inexperienced (and largely poor) fighters.
Of the first 4 bouts (of 7 on the card), the fighters had a combined experience of 15 fights among them. There were lots of 0-1-1 versus 0-2-0 type matches. The last three fights weren't much better. After watching a few very amateurish bouts, I got the distinct feeling that many of the fighers were pressed to go pro a bit early (but I have no info to substantiate that).
My advice is to check the fight card first, then decide how much you'd be willing to pay BEFORE picking your seats. You'll likely be happier with your experience that way.
