Favorite moment: Erik Kang plays "Part of Your World" as his farewell song. @
Setlist: Shannon, NYC hotel blues, Birds, Fisher of men, A children's crusade on acid,Dress me like a clown, Tiny vampire robot, Christ, Go to sleep you little creep, Books about trains, Quiet as a mouse,Prozac rock,Talking in code,Skeleton key,As tall as cliffs,Barfight revolution @
Opening act(s): Two separate acts of guys on guitar. The were good. Sorry I don't remember your names, dudes. @
Margot & the Nuclear So and So's are a great band and this was a great show. They've transformed themselves over time and have really pushed the borders on standard fare indie rock. They've almost pushed me out of my music comfort zone and I'm having to force myself to get into their music. I'm not giving up on them yet, but their anti-music sentiment is hard to get into at times.
Tonight's show was special as long time band member Erik Kang is leaving the band. They dusted off a number of older songs and it was very sad to see Kang leave.
I only went to The Basement because Margot was playing there. The sound board sucked. They had audio issues all night. The concert venue is like trying to roll a wheel chair through a plowed field. This is the worst venue in Columbus.
