This show was seriously the greatest I've ever been to. Openers (morning parade) were awesome and so were the Wombats themselves.
Morning Parade gained a new fan that night. They were fantastic live. They didn't get a huge reception from the crowd, but people were cheering and clapping along, etc.
The Wombats then came out and did their set (fantastically). Banter between the band was great, Murph sounded phenomenal, people were crowd surfing, and the guys reached out into the crowd when they were done. It was pretty awesome.
Few little problems: I didn't get a fast pass ticket, so naturally I got to the venue an hour early. (And I got to see Murph walking into the venue for the sound check!) I was surprised to see there was already a sizable line, but once we got into the venue I still managed to get right behind the people in front of the gate. My problem was that the people in the front didn't move.... at all. I think they might've swayed during Jump into the Fog, but that was seriously it. In hindsight, it was great because with them not moving I had a great view between their shoulders, but at the time it was annoying. Another little problem was the wait. After waiting an hour in line to get in, the let us into the venue at around 6:45. Show was set to start at 7. Openers didn't go on till 8 and there was a good 20 minutes break between them and the Wombats. Granted, it was totally worth the wait... but still.
tl;dr - Wombats and Morning Parade are fantastic live.
