While I have seen them many times before, this time the Wood Brothers came through Boston they slayed. They always have a great vibe, like you just walked into their family room, but they seriously delivered the musical goods this time.
Thankfully someone decided to ditch the chairs from their last performance at the Paradise.
A great mix of songs, some killer artistry and a great vibe...I love these guys.

These guys were even better than expected, and I went in with high expectations. Chris Wood is just a master of the upright bass. Incredible. I will see them again any time they are within driving distance.

...since the last time I saw them, of course! These guys never disappoint, and I was quite pleased with the venue as well. Brought a friend along who I just recently showed the Wood Brothers to, she immediately declared herself Obsessed and has bought all of their albums in a matter of days! They really are THAT GOOD.

I have seen the Wood Brothers almost a dozen times now. Since my first time seeing them live in 2005, they have improved and matured musically. I do not buy many CDs anymore, but no collection is complete without every Wood Brothers album. Not only does the music keep getting better, but the lyrics and flow keep improving as well.
This show opened up with 3 new songs, leaving the crowd hollering for more. I would prefer seeing them play a venue with seats, because standing room only tends to welcome a rowdier crowd. You don't want to miss a note of this music, so silence is key for many of their songs. That being said, their catalog of songs does offer some floor stomping jams that you CANNOT sit down for. I give these guys 5 out of 5 because they are damn worth it. When you go see them, you are guaranteed to get Wood every time!

One of the best concerts I have ever gone to. The music was great (being able to give perfect 3 part harmonies 2 hours into a set is just amazing), they played 3 encores, stayed after midnight for us, and then hung out in the bar after the show talking to fans.

The sound quality and being front row at the show was amazing. The harmonies and upright bass sounded great. Really enjoyed the set and the Big Mic tunes.

I could die happy after Friday nights show! The set list was excellent. I love hearing new sings from my favorite band live, and surprised! It was so wonderful. I love the Bowery!

Great great show! Love their unique sound. Bluegrass/ rock fusion with a funky twist at times. Wished it was longer though. Visibility was a bit tough for a short person but close to the band over all.

Chris and Oliver Wood along with drummer Jano Rix rocked the Paradise in Boston on Thursday Feb 28th.
An edgy blend of bluegrass, funk, roots, Americana and plain old fuzzed out rock and roll topped off with beautiful three part harmonies. These guys are the real deal. Anyone who knows Chris Wood from MMW knows that he can bring it on the upright bass and the rest of the band is equally as talented.
Check out the Wood Brothers if you are craving the sounds of the Allmans, Meters, Little Feat, Dead, Cash, George Clinton, Toussaint, and anyone else who rocked us before facebook came along.

They straight killed it. First WB show for me and was not disappointed. Sound was great and they kept it going the whole way through the show. Will be seeing them again next time they come through. Love the Paradise too. Dope venue.

There are not enough words to say how good this show was. I never review shows because, but this one was so good I have to. I am a huge fan, but I brought a guy who had never even heard of them and he loved it. THey sounded so good, so clean, so perfect. I go to many, many shows and this was my favorite in a very long time.

I anticipated a great show, but the Wood Brothers' performance was phenomenal. Very engaging with the crowd and demonstrated extraordinary talent. Great music and a fun time!

I'd recommend a live Wood Brothers show to anyone....Amazing band, amazing show. Venue was good too, if you stipulate that there will always be one middle aged redneck drunk off her ass, and she will be sitting behind ME.

I last saw the Wood Brothers live @ The Savannah Music Festival 2010 and they have grown in their stage presence amazingly since then. Their music is such that you really ought not bother with chairs because you really just want to be up on your feet. Awesome job guys!!!

Such a great venue. Seats maybe 500. Very intimate setting which is perfect for these guys. If you really want to appreciate the quality of the venue & the band, sit in the first 8 rows. I've seen so many shows at so many venues & this combo is one of my top picks! I've seen them twice at the same location & neither disapoint! I was able to meet them & they signed my ticket. Very approachable!
