I saw this play some time ago at the Beacon Theatre. Unfortunately, it was laughable but not at the right times. The storyline was totally unbelievable and incongruous. Shirley Murdoch was the highlight of the evening but even she was overshadowed by poor writing, over acting and a sorry band. I was so looking forward to hearing D'atra Hicks live but the band messed her song up. It was a mess. Everyone in my section was laughing and saying "WHAT?" Even the program had some typos.

I liked the play and the actors but at times they didn't remember their lines. the scence changing was a bit slow

Kudos to the playwright for writing such a moving piece and to the actors for an amazing job. I've seen almost every play that has come to the Beacon for the past 11 years and must say I left the theatre satisfied. The writer created characters that I shall never forget.....Junebug and the old lady are characters I can watch over and over and over again. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

I was totally pissed!!! This play had no business making it to the beacon theater!!!! I attend plays at the beacon theater all the time. This play was a waste of time & money. The writer needs to work on his plots, ideas and characters. It didnt make any sense what so ever!!! I was very offended by the writing and the acting. They should have been embarassed! Nene leaks does much better on the ATL housewives. I couldn't wait for this play to be over I almost broke my ankles, crushed my skull and bashed my face in trying to run out of there!!!!! JUST AWFUL

Big ups to NeNe Leakes! She really did her thing. Also loved how the writer mixed the comedy and drama to tell the story. I heard the play may come to Harlem. If so, count me and my peeps in. This show was the best we seen so far.

I'm a huge fan of the TO Show and was surprised that he featured this play. We saw it at the Beacon and enjoyed it. Looks like a winner in more ways than one. Congrats to this great cast and the playwright. We look forward to seeing more of your work.

Simply loved this show and loved it even more that I saw it on the T.O. Show... The characters made you laugh when they were supposed to and feel empathy towards them in huge ways. Great plot!

There were two funny characters... the pregnant 70-yr old woman and drunk old man. I truly can't even remember the characters names. Overall I didn't feel the storyline was cohesive, I hoped to leave the theatre with a social message but just felt like i got to watch a ghetto soap opera for three hours. The references to Marcy projects, Tyle Perry Madea character lines hap hazardly thrown in and the set made no sense. I was disappointed that maybe with more money and time this play could have been something better.

Thank you, thank you thank you!!! Finally someone who gets what quality theatre should be. The characters were well thought out, the music was great and the performances were amazing. I am so tired of seeing the same spoon fed romances that these shows are usually about. Thank goodness this one was different. Please make the movie soon. Our time was well spent seeing this show.

My friends and I drove from Maryland because we missed the show in DC. We had so much fun! Especially meeting the cast afterwards. The writer was so humble. Keep doing what you're doing! My friends and I can't wait to see what you bring next. Junebug and the old lady were awesome!! We love how everyone's personal story tied in with the mother's loss and ultimate redemption. The sound could have been a little better, but overall we loved every minute of it!

This play did not have a story line, it was all over the place. Toni Terry & Shirley Murdock was great. Although Toni only sang 1 song. Née née CANNOT ACT. I'm sorry her words were very choppy, and Fantasia brother hmm was okay.

Not only did I love the play but the audience seemed to love the play as well. There was a long line of autograph seekers (I was one of them). I listened to the people in line talk about how they loved the characters and how much they laughed and enjoyed the play. The storyline was original and had many great surprises. Can't wait to see what this writer comes out with next. NeNe did her thing and I loved the old lady in the play.

The title of the play didn't truly connect to the play. The play had some funny and serious moments. Ms. Champagne was a hoot! and Mr. Big...oh yes he is!!

This play was authentic! I could so relate to the characters. THe lady who played the mom did an excellent job and played a range of emotions. I love how the playwright used the old lady to let the audience know that miracles can happen if you just believe. Afterall, if Mary, a virgin can have a child and women in biblical days had children beyond fifty, nothing is impossible. This play has increased my faith! May God bless the writer and this awesome cast!

My son and I really enjoyed ourselves at this play. We wanted to spend some quality time together and I must say, we made a great choice. We will remember this play fo the rest of our lives. He was able to hear great singers, acting and a story line that was on point. LOVED IT!
