We thought the derby was pretty boring. Thought there would be more bumps and blocking leading to some excitement. There was only one player that seemed to like bumping other players and that was "The Situation".
Seems like the track could be longer and more action. Probably will never return or recommend to anyone. It's a shame because the sport could be revamped and made a lot more interesting!

The roller derby games were excellent. Both KC teams won (girls and guys) which made it even better. Loved the Men's Derby - very exciting! The roller runts were very entertaining. Loved it all!

Loved the energy and creativity of the event. Wished the seating was more comfortable. Those chairs were atrocious, but the crowd was great and the game was fun to watch. They should hand out a "cheat sheet" of the rules. Heck, I'd pay a buck for that. Along with "bios" of the players. Maybe a highlighted player of the event--I'd love to know what skaters like "Wheelzebub" and "Lady MacDeath" do when they're not on wheels.

It was great! Never been to one but always wanted to go. It was worth it. Going again next time but bringing a few more people to enjoy it also. Might even get season tickets next year. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a good game on skates.

I went to the concession stand to get food and drinks for my wife and two kids. They had no lids for the drinks, no drink tray to carry my drinks, and only two hands to carry 3 hot dogs an order of nachos with cheese and four drinks. The girl who took my order was real nice. The guy who she directed all of my questions to on the other hand just would give my a shoulder shrug like oh well, not my problem. Even she told me I should complain to the supervisor. They had no napkins out either so when I got back to my seat with nacho cheese all over me I had to go back up to the concession stand and ask for napkins. Another lady had to look to find me two. I then asked who she worked for and asked to speak to the supervisor she just kind of looked around and shrugged her shoulders like I don't know where he is.

My boyfriend and I went into this as roller derby virgins, we really had no idea what to expect exactly. It wasn't quite how I imagined it would be - it was so much more. We had so much fun. There is entertainment in some fashion right from the beginning! There are so many different levels to the entertainment there. I thought the crowd participation events were really a lot of fun too. The derby teams are really very talented, I had no idea how well some of these girls could skate, it's crazy!! This really is a legit sport, and these ladies do not mess around! I also like how the announcer educated the audience as the game progressed. For a novice, that was extremely helpful.
The one and only complaint I had was that there were not enough concession stands open. The lines were extremely long, so I did miss nearly an entire half waiting for a drink. But that is not the KC Roller Warriors fault at all!

This was the first time we had been to a rollerblading bout and it was amazing. The athletic abilities of the women are very impressive and this is a fun, family event. Be warned: the rules are complicated and you have to pay attention! This is not watching a bunch of people skate around a ring -- there is real strategy involved. The sound system is not great so it's a little hard to hear everything in the "play by play." There are fun side activities for kids, by the way.

This is the 2nd RINK OF FIRE championship bout I've attended, and once again, I was amazed! Everything from the singer of the national anthem, team introductions, the halftime, to the very LAST second on the clock! Non-stop entertainment!

This was the first time my family has attended a Roller Derby event. It was something my 6 year old wanted to do for her birthday. Not only was it our immediate family of 4, but 6 other family members (including 2 children under 8). We all had a good time. The women from all 4 teams are amazing skaters and the action is fast paced (read the program they give you at the door, it explains the game if you don't understand it).
My daughter wanted a poster of the Knockouts and wanted some of their autographs. Many of the women skate around the crowd on the floor while the other game is going on, so I just went up to them and asked for their autographs. Everyone was super nice. It is hard to believe they can be so tough in the rink.

The KC RollerWarriors kick some mad bootie! These women are fierce and put on a great show! The event is hilarious and casual. I was surprised by how many families were in attendance, but the kids seemed to love it!

We attended this as a group of ten for a friend's birthday, and I really was not expecting much. But, the girls really worked hard at the roller derby event, and the whole evening was just a fun, relaxed time. Everyone was oriented towards making the audience a part of the action, with the announcers, the teams and the half-time entertainment band all contributing to a surprisingly enjoyable evening. I would recommend this for at least once a season for anyone.

This was my second time to attend one of the Roller Derby event and have plans to purchase tickets for their last event in September. This is a well kept secret of Kansas City. I have seen little or no advertising for these ladies and it is a thorougly enjoyable family event. The Warriors are very talented skaters and deserve more recognition and acknowledgment for Kansas City. It was nice to see the crowd that was there Saturday with no outside advertising. Satuirday's event was more enjoyable that the previous event for me because it was actually a sanctioned game against Houston. The previous event was a contest amongst the Kansas City leagues, which was good, but hard to choose who to cheer for!
