We had an excellent day at Fed Cup in Delray Beach, FL. The stadium and staff were super and very attentive. I lost my camera cap and the attendant found me after the match and returned it. The stadium is very intimate.

The chance to go to a Fed Cup or a Davis Cup comes only ever so often, so you better go when you have a chance. So glad that I went and experienced this wonderful event.

Enjoyed every aspect of the FedCup in Delray except one. At last minute the doubles match was cancelled due to 3 American player medical problems. A bit hard to believe as no other information was given and it didn't appear evident from looking at them that they were hurt, injured, etc. (Venus did have a rough but exciting match right before so it was understandable for her, but for the others it was questionable and disappointing.

I loved every moment of the Fed Cup, especially the last set when Venus fought for her life and victory came for the USA. I was not particularly pleased with the way the authorities handled the rain delay. I thought they could make an announcement/give an update but even the staff did not seem to know what was happening. Anyway, when things resumed, Serena continued to 'clean up' so all's well that ends well.
All in all a well organized event with a great outcome. Go USA!

I will start this review stating that I would recommend this event to a friend, but with warning. Buy the cheapest tickets because you may not get to see as many matches as you pay for, bring your own water if they will let you , eat before you go. I loved watching the US Team play a worthy opponent, Sweden. However, after Venus clinched the team win on Sunday (2d day) with her singles victory, a short ceremony and some flag waving followed the match and about an hour later the singles match, which would not have effected the outcome of the match, was cancelled with the excuse of weather conditions that never happened. The sun was still out. It did not rain again until Monday morning! That was extremely disappointing to fans who love doubles. We definitely did not get our money's worth. I paid $133.50 for a two day pass and saw 4 singles matches. Two very quick ones. Finally, the food and beverage prices were outrageous. Boardwalk food at Gourmet prices...$14 for a plastic cup of Yellow Tail Chard??? $3.50 for a bottle of no name bottled water? Adding one more insult, food and beverages could only be purchased with cash. There was no ATM on the premise and fans could not leave to get money and be readmitted without purchasing a new ticket and going through security. Very poorly run. I will be back, but with low expectations.

We were happy with the Fed Cup in Delray Beack, Florida until the American team decided to forego the playing of the double's rubber match. Apparently because they were ready to go party, were tired or just because the match was decided, the American's decided they would forfeit the doubles match and disappoint many of the fans attending and also those watching on TV. Talk about lack of integrity;i.e. when you commit to something you should not falsely claim that 3 of your 4 players were injured(you notice that they claimed 3 of the 4, since you cannot play doubles with only 1 player) so they then allowed a "walk over" for the Swedes. I used to be a fan of the Fed Cup but now will never attend another Fed Cup match. I have lost a lot of respect for the Captain. Mary Jo Fernandez and the rest of the American team. At least the Davis Cup participants finish with their commitment by playing their "rubber matchs" . I think that the Fed Cup owes all attendees a refund on at least 1/3 of our ticket price for Sunday the 21st. This does not take into account the cost of travel to get to and from the event. We came all the way from Wyoming.

Great venue, but poor signage had us parked far from the venue and walking all the way around the stadium to find the entrance. We were running a bit late so I thought I would grab some cash from the ATM at the venue but there was none, even though it stated so on the Ticketmaster website. They also did not take CC at any of the vendors. I had to beg to be allowed to leave my wife as hostage and run back out to the bank across the street and re-enter the venue.
The rain delay forced the entire stadium of people to huddle under the bleachers for cover and there were no speakers there so everytime they made an annoucemnt to update the spectators, nobody heard anything. So, we left after an hour of waiting. FORTUNATELY, we bumped into some others from the event at a restaurant in Delray Beach and they told us that they WOULD be allowing re-entry since the rain delay was excessive. We got back in time to see Serena demolish her Swedish victim. Great seats, great tennis, just a little amateurly organized for such a high profile event. YES, I would definitely attend again (just hit the ATM first)

It was a fun experience, my first time at the Delray Center, and our seats were good. The only bad part was USA lost and it rained, but there is nothing anyone can do about that.Overall , a great experience, we will do it again!

I realize the Fed Cup was US vs. Sweden, but in all honesty, you have to admit Serena was the big draw. Since bad weather had been predicted all week she should have been first up on Saturday. As it was, we sat through a 2 1/2 hour match, with Stephens losing and then a very long rain delay. Many people left, us included since there was no way to tell how long the delay would be. Had the matches been reversed, the whole day would have been a much more satisfying experience.
Another comment, the speaker system seems to only reach the inside stadium. During the rain delay announcements being made were not heard outside the stadium where everyone was standing. No one was in the stadium to hear them. This does not make sense! Your no reentry policy needs to be re-evaluated. Having paid $150 for the seats it quickly became an expensive afternoon that we will not repeat unless policy is changed.

It was wonderful to be able to watch our American team play against Sweden during the Fed Cup tie. However, we ended up defaulting the doubles match, which is unfortunate since many of the spectators play doubles at home. Also, the fans were not told about this until right before it was scheduled to start. Since the American team had taken the victory lap with the flag, I suspect that it was known then that the doubles match was not going to be played. Overall, it was great fun, though.

Despite the rain delays on Saturday, people stayed and enjoyed the sessions. Sloan Stevens is up and coming, but lacks the ability to finish the point and seemed to tire.

It was great being able to watch such high caliber players from the USA in my own backyard. The patriotic feel to this match was very different from regular tennis matches where you cheer for individual players. I highly recommend going to a Fed Cup or Davis Cup event if you get the chance.

This was an unbelievable event. We got to see Serena Williams play two singles matches, and Venus Williams play doubles with the #1 doubles player Liesel Huber. Christina McHale is an up and coming player and was also outstanding. Due to a "back injury" current #1 Vickie Azarenka did not play, but it was still some very good tennis. (I put this in quotes because she played a tournament that next week, so I doubt the injury claim.)
