Unhappy horses

Reading some of the past reviews, I agree with the reviewer who commented on how unhappy the horses were. I, too, saw the body language of some very annoyed & troubled equines. You just don't see that in Cavalia or Odyseeo... the horses in those performances are very well loved, & are actually treated more as family & fellow performers than Apassionata's forced tricks.

This was just a horse show, having none of the magic creativity that Cavalia has. If anyone has witnessed Cavalia, or their newer show, Odysseo, you would be extremely disappointed in Apassionata.

Usually you don't see horses without riders but there were a number who had no rider, no saddle, no bridle showing what beautiful animals they are. Some were also independent and didn't want to go back behind the curtain. The dressage numbers were amazing, especially the draft horse. The mule was comedic and the miniature horses cute. The Friesans were gorgeous and the Icelandic ponies different when it came to the mane. The daredevil riders were absolutely amazing. They had to be afraid but didn't show it. Overall, if you love to see horses of every kind in action (and some free) I would definitely go see it.

I loved this show and I would recommend anyone who loves horses to go and see it! I had to take a little bit of travel to get there since I live in NYC, and it was totally worth it. It's amazing to see how the dancers and the riders interact with the horses in perfect harmony. You won't regret it!

I was a little disappointed in the show. It seemed the trailer for the show showed more than what the show actually had. I expected to see a little more acts with the horses running free. There seemed to be a lot of "dressage" more than anything.
However, on the up note - the stunt riding at the end was exciting. I enjoyed the comedy acts.

Great Performance! Awesome daredevil riders. I would definetley reccomend this event to my friends, whether you are a horsey person or not this is a great show!

Took my horse-crazy teenage daughter to see this show. I think I loved it every bit as much as she did. Beautiful music, dancing, and horses...and an adorable donkey!
I understand the show is not continuing due to financial concerns in Europe. I hope they are able to overcome these problems and return in the near future.

I cannot believe I paid for these tickets! There was mistake after mistake during the performance that I attended. It is a shame too because it looks like there is a lot of potential for this show. Unlike many other traveling shows there was no cringe worthy riding, but the fact that the show was so unpolished was a big downer. I know that working with horses can be tough so I had assumed that mistakes would happen, but I was not expecting it to feel more like a dress rehearsal than a performance. I hope that they will get better with every performance, but I would not recommended spending $50 for a ticket on this event.

Apassionata was absolutely STUNNING! It was definitely worth getting the tickets and the horses and show was just breathtaking! I cannot wait until they return next year since I will definitely be buying tickets again! The show was amazing and flawless, even though in the beginning the 2 Arabians didn't want to go inside. But that did NOT stop the show! In fact, they just acted like it was part of it! The animals and movements were breathtaking, the stunts preformed on the saddles were heart stopping and I told every single person I knew about this and got a few to go themselves! It's not just for kids, adults were there too! And they wanted pictures and videos taken for others to see! Next year I'll be bringing a camera for sure, but the show made me not want to take my eyes off it for pictures on my phone! It was just beautiful and I adored every moment of going to see it!

This was an awesome event. The horses were beautiful and the whole performance was exciting. The music was wonderful. Some of the things those horses were trained to do were unbelievable, like having sparklers attached to their front legs. Anyone who loves horses, dangerous stunts, and beautiful music and productions should definitely come to this show. Please, please bring it back to Baltimore again next year. I'm a fan for life!

Was a wonderful event. But it would have been nice to have a program that highlighted the types of horses that were in each show(that told about them) like you told about the trainers. I also would have liked to have known that I could have brought a camera.

I am so in love with Apassionata. My husband bought tickets as a surprise, knowing how much I love horses. I was beyond amazed and I can't believe I never heard of this before. We had VIP seats in the front row and it was well worth the extra money. I still can't stop talking about it and I only wish the show was longer. The horses were gorgeous, the stars were so talented, the atmosphere was lovely, AND all of the other spectators were all in good spirit and friendly. It was the best show I have ever seen and I will be back in 2013.
I can't pick a favorite moment. However, I loved the sleeping donkey, the jumping Breton, the beautiful Sylvie, and the sparklers. The daredevils were amazing, the Shetlands were adorable, and the Friesians were so magical. The tap dancing horse and everything were so amazing. It is impossible to choose a favorite moment.

My wife and I absolutely loved Apassionata. The horses (and donkeys!) were tremendously beautiful and quite entertaining, The riders were among the best I've ever seen. The stunt riding at the end is unforgettable. I really think this show has something everyone can enjoy. Afterward, we were lucky enough to meet to meet some of the riders and the beautiful horses. A variety breeds that were friendly and sweet and gladly accepted the carrots as their reward for a job well done. I hope Apassionata will return soon because I will definitely be there if and when they do.

The horses and riders were very good. The music needed an update and better description of the horses and riders. The marketing was very poor and the seats were mostly empty although when I tried to buy tickets on line most of the seats appeared to be sold.

this was like the equine version of cirque du soleil...absolutely amazing. Equally entertaining for both the horse lovers and just regular folks....I would have gone again but the show moved out of my area too soon! My only complaint was we paid for $125 seats in the front row but there were people sitting at restaurant like tables in front of us which blocked our view a bit....oh well! Can't have everything...

From minis and donkeys to Friesians and the heaviest built draft horse that I have ever seen - this show had it all. Added to this was horsemanship, choreography, costumes and music. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
