Joshua Radin is absolutely wonderful. His wit, interaction with the audience, and surprise at performing in a synagogue all added to the show's appeal.
He played some of the songs from both of his albums, but the real treat was when he previewed some songs from his next album. He is changing it up a bit to include straight up rock to his normal "whisper rock" repertoire. I must say, I was delighted and impressed. I think I even liked his rock songs even more than what he has already put out.
Joshua Radin is an extremely talented artist and I will definitely see him again next time he is in D.C. (But Joshua - I think you got the wrong impression of D.C. Had we been somewhere like the 9:30 Club rather than a synagogue, I'm sure that a good majority of the audience would have been drinking!)
