Was disappointed, band was more punk than their albums, bassist tried way too hard, organist missed Doors poetry and drummer was not driving the beat. Lead guitar good, lead singer nice work but still, new material needs work.....only found themselves on the oh too short encore, they had another 10 minutes to play and packed it in.

This was the best concert I've been to in a small venue. The venue itself was a little sketchy at times, but once the concert started, it was fantastic. Cold War Kids absolutely killed it. I haven't been able to stop listening to their stuff since!

Not too bad for a minimal production show. The sound, however, was pretty stellar. They were tight and not far off from what they have recorded in studio,which is kind of rhythmically off kilter but still manages to sound cool. Its my own fault for not obtaining and absorbing all of their albums, including the latest Dear Miss Lonely Hearts, but I will by the next time they come around Atlanta way. They only played a handful from their debut Robbers & Cowards (which I know front to back by heart) including the instantly catchy bass riff hit "Hang Me Out to Dry" and "Hospital Beds" then ended the first set with "Saint John". I was glad to hear that one just to see how they would pull it off live, and they nailed it. "We Used to Vacation" started the encore set that also included "Something is Not Right with Me" which were both crowd-pleasers, although they never jammed on my personal favorite, "Tell Me in the Morning". Leader Nathan Willett jumped from piano to guitar seamlessly while belting it out with his angelically shrill falsetto vocals throughout the night, like a good boy should.

They were fantastic. I've seen then twice before and each show just gets better. If you have the chance to see them live do it. You will regret it I you don't. The best part is that you can tell they love the music they are playing. Thank you CWK

This band just keeps getting better and better every time I see them. The set was full of energy from the second they hit the stage. They are so tight as a band and the new songs were great.
They played a really good mix of old and new songs. It's always fun to see when a band is having a fun time on stage and there was no doubt that they were having a lot of fun.
I WILL see them every time they come to the city!!

Great little venue a bit off of the beaten path in Toronto. Standing room only (if that) on the main floor, with seating and tables upstairs. Was fortunate enough to grab seats before the opening band went on about 9pm and stayed until after the Cold War Kids' FOUR encores! The band had great energy and a packed setlist, making it one memorable concert!

No need for a long review. Simply put, the guys sounded great, signed autographs after the show, and let me wanting more. If you have a chance to see them and don't it would be a rather large mistake.

Cold War Kids were so great live! I only knew a few of the songs but the band had great energy and sounded amazing! Definitely go see them if you can!!!

Power went out right as CWK was about to come on. So we all got to see a rare candle-lit cold war kids acoustic set. Which was truly unforgettable. Then once the power came back they rocked as always.
Opening act, Givers, was awesome as well. Not familiar with them before the show. But I downloaded their album from iTunes before the night was. So high energy. I expect they will blow up soon. Great job!

I love CWK. Their energy. Their passion. Their edginess. None of this came through during this show. They played acoustic. CWK, as good as they are, are not an acoustic band. I gave it a chance and left into the first set. On the other hand, I loved the opening band, the Givers. They blew CWK away in every way. Now, not sure if it was necessarily CWK's call to go acoustic, apparently the Buckhead Theater had blown its power. If that's the case, the blame goes to the venue, but still CWK played with one small amp. I personally thought it sucked. I think Buckhead Theater should refund money.

show started late so when the power went out and there was obviously no back-up plan we got to hear like 4 CWK songs and then it was house lights on and every go home. luckily i the givers sounded fantastic but i don't think i'd go see CWK again. they sound exactly the same on stage as they do recorded....there's really no point. there was no energy and...well frankly they were boring.

Pretty cool show. Awesome to be on Landsdowne Street. Would definitely recommend getting the combo tickets. Will be there next year for sure.

the music was good but the no reentry rule ruined it for me since i had to do something right in the middle. because of that i had to miss half of the bands. i thought it was ridiculous and this was not posted on the site or tickets so we wasted money on two subway rides on top of it before we found out. also the strip shows on the side were really awkward.
