Wow The Show was unbelievably! The color purple has always been close to my heart And the show captured the grace and powerfulness of the story behind the musical. The Music Was perfection! The only thing I didnt like was that Miss Celices Blues Wasnt In the musical I thought that it should have been. The Women who played Celie Was perfect she really brought her to life and Mister was amazing his voice was stunning!

i saw the broadway production several years. Morgan did fantastic job with script .when my sister stays awake....two thumbs up. we enjoyed it immensely....if you haven't seen it.....go

The play was amazingly done. The actors were professional and personable at the end. We loved the opportunity to take pictures with them. Beautiful voices.

Ms. Shirley Basfield Dunlap, her production team, performers, and Singing Sensations produced a show worthy of being on Broadway. The beauty of the performance was that while it was Broadway quality, it was in Baltimore at Morgan State University. That is the quality any audience should expect and we received much more than our admission price.
The main characters should be very proud of their performance from acting, singing, dancing and moving the audience through the emotional peaks and valleys of the story. The supporting cast added humor and excitement and drama in all of the appropriate places. Any time there is a performance at Morgan I will bring my family with me to see it.

I think they did an AWESOME job doing this play "in the round." The cast was amazing!
My only complaint is that it was TOO long. I really haven't thought about how to shorten the time there, but with serving dinner and watching the play, we were in the theatre for 5 hours!

First time at Toby. It was wonderful. The food was great and the servers / actors were just as wonderful. Very colorful cast. I loved the music, and lyrics. Will be coming back to see future productions.

The show was spectacular. I love dinner theater, and was very impressed. I liked the fact I don't have to go all the way to NY to see a good show, I can go to Toby's. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the acting was fabulous.

I thought it was amazing. It is hard to take a book and turn it into a musical. I think they did a wonderful job accomplishing it. It made you laugh and it made you cry. The singing also was awesome. I would go see it again!

I thoroughly enjoyed the show! All of the performers did an awesome job it was more than I was expecting. The only problem I had was all of the late comers were allowed to come in while the show was going on, which was a lot of distraction and noise.
