Loved the show. Gordon is very talented and charming but Ticketmaster should have more clearly advertised that the show would take place a smaller theatre in the back of the Apollo, not the main hall.

An unexpected James Brown re-incarnation with explosive energy. Backing vocals turned out to be front vocals. Good show !

Great show! The music, singers, & dancers overall were Amazing!! The band of musicians were so talented & full! Thank You for doing James Brown justice in my opinion.

I live in Atlanta and was in town on business. I wanted to go to amateur night at the Apollo but that did not fit into my schedule. So while seaching for other options on Apollo's site, I came across Burnt Sugar's tribute to James Brown, the godfather of soul, and sooo glad I went for it!! It was an amazing performance! You get so much for the money...quite frankly I think they should increase the ticket price. All of the performers were terrific! I loved the uniqueness of the show...it was educational, funny, and the music was oh so funky! I truly enjoyed myself! Thanks Apollo!!!
