The constant high energy of the cast and the casting of the members with very similar vocal styles of the original cast members kept the children captivated! The dancing and vocals were awesome! Also, liked the interaction with the audience ~ I know all who attended enjoyed themselves...the parents as much as the kids ~ we know the songs too ~ due to the countless times we've watched it!

wonderful show! i bought the tickets for a night out with my family. i was so pleasantly surprised. we all loved the show. very entertaining. very funny. all the actors did an amazing job. the girl who played Gabriel had a beautiful voice.

Typical Disney. High energy, lots of smiles and happy performers and audience. Good audience involvement for the young fans.
Very impressed with the performers. Troy did an excellent job of duplicating Zak's dance style.
Would have enjoyed a few more songs be included in the performance and a bit longer but then I'm older and can sit through lengthy shows.

High School Musical Summer Celebration was nice. My children enjoyed it and I had a good time. There were a lot of children, mainly girls, singing along the songs. It was successful. It was what my kids were expecting.

I enjoyed this verion of High School Musical. The singing was great, and I loved the songs. The dances were choreographed well, and I was impressed that the dancers were able to stay in sync with each other.
I think they could have done a better job casting the part of Troy. I was disappointed with the young man who played this part because he did not portray the same Troy that was portrayed in the movies. His version of Troy was more of the "jock" type and less of the "all-around-good-guy" type that we see in the movie. Also, the person who played Troy in the play lacked chemistry with the young lady who played Gabriella. My final thought on this young man was that although he did have a nice voice, he missed hitting many of the notes. For someone playing the lead role, I was surprised at this.
Everything else was great. The actors who played Sharpay, Chad, Ryan, and Ms. Darbus did an excellent job! Overall the show was fun, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an entertaining time.

I am 60 and took my 6 year old granddaughter to see HSM with fairly low expectations. I know the movies have been wildly popular and my granddaughter knows the words to half the songs. But from the opening number, the actors' enthusiasm and strong voices caught and held my attention throughout the 2-hour performance.
The pacing is great, very few lulls. The cast are very young except for two but they brought many smiles to the audience because of their combimed great talent. I highly recommend HSM for any age six and above.

High School Musical was very disapointing for us. We are HUGE fans of the movies, so we expected the same from the musical. The songs seemed off pitch and they did not compare to the orginal. Something as popular as HSM shouldnt be made into a broadway show because kids know it soo well that they will recongize every mistake. The cast seemed weird to us and the costumes bad. We had to leave early because we felt our favorite songs were being butchered. We usually LOVE broadway, but this is a case where the show should of stayed on Disney.

My daughter and I went to High School Musical and we LOVED it! Great performance, great venue. Everything was so easy...getting tickets...parking...finding our seats. Really an enjoyable hassle free time.

I knew the TOTS production of High School Musical would be good but I was very surprised at how good it was!!!!! I took my 11 year old and my five year old and they both enjoyed it.I would go again!!!!

My family went to theHSM matinee Thursday and if we didn't already have plans for that night I would've turned around and bought tickets for the evening performance as well!! Great choreography and set. Lots of fun for kids and adults!!

The music and stage was great and what I would expect from a Disney production. It would have been nice if the cast engaged the audience more as so many of the children would have loved the chance to see the cast in the crowd. The cast could also ask the kids in the auditorium to stand (and wait until they do) and encourage them to dance altogether. My daughter and niece were itching to dance but since no one around them were dancing, they just stayed in their seats swaying to the music.
More audience engagement would be better to increase the energy of the performance and make it more memorable for the kids. The magic of the musical is what the kids remember as their 'ah-ha!' moment and for many of them, it would have been really terrific if they could interact more with the cast.
