A thoroughly enjoyable one-person show. Carrie Fisher redefines self-deprecating humor by taking the audience through her life as a Hollywood child, actress and writer and examines the struggles she faced with her own addictions but the issues others in her life faced and how that impacted her.

By the time Carrie Fisher's show has finished, you want to ask her out for a cuppa coffee. She is brave to lay bare her life in front of strangers. She fully appreciates that her childhood and Hollywood life were totally unlike the lives of 99% of us, but somehow she makes us believe that her dysfunctional families and her bizarre experiences are just like our own! The show was casual and funny, and different generations of women (mostly) can relate to her stories. We enjoyed it. Carrie on!

Carrie Fisher was hilarious and it was a great show. I am sad that my bf didn't volunteer when she was looking for a participant. I was in the second row in her direct line of sight and there was no one sitting in front of us in the pit. So it was awesome. I got teary eyed at the end when she did her line from Star Wars, I grew up on those movies and always looked up to her. She's awesome. I was surprised to see so few people my age there (I'm 29) , most audience members were in the 45-65 age range. I suppose this is true with most broadway acts.

Carrie Fisher captivates her audience in raw and honest speak, layered with wry humor. She is an awesome person who has overcome a lot in her life and is brave enough, with a dose (no pun) of poised humor. Wonderful anecdotes and remembrances with clips of her mother and father, Debbie Reynolds, and Eddie Fisher. Carrie also pokes fun at herself about being Princess Leia and the phenominon of being within the Star Wars Saga. An exceptionally special docu-play. Wooo Whooo!!

A delightful afternoon. Carrie Fisher was great. The Hippodrome staff was very accomendating since this was our first time back since its renovating the theatre. It is awesome. Would go to another show in a minute. The Parking behind the theatre is very convenient for senior citizens.

Carrie Fisher was amazing! She was an energetic presence on stage, and her combination of blunt humor and honesty were unforgettable. Nice to be reminded that we all need to have a sense of humor about what we do and what life does to us.

I love Carrie Fisher and was looking forward to this ladies night out event I had organized. I only wish Carrie Fisher's show and been longer and included more details of her life. She really lightly hit on several issues but did not talk about electric shock therapy or her time spent writing movies, her friends in the business, etc. I felt there could have been more.

Carrie Fisher was wonderful. She was humorous and her delivery was great. She has great timing. She does realize that they way you take the sting out of some of life's cruelties is to own them, look at them with a positive attitude and do something about it. Her recovery shows. I would go again to see it, even knowing it would be the same content.

Content wasn't really that interesting, and "performance" was underwhelming. Even though it is all about her, it's still supposed to be an engaging theatrical event, but mostly it was not. Quite a few people left at intermission. Not good value for the money.

Carrie Fischer is incredibly funny when sharing her life story. You can see how humor has helped in her recovery and she's inspirational to those with drug and alcohol issues. Although at times it was like watching a car crash, you just couldn't look away but were afraid of what comes next. Overall, I enjoyed her performance. Would have liked to have the volume turned up a bit.

Carrie has lived quite a life and this is quite a funny show. She is so good that you see the world, at least for two hours, through her eyes. If you're lucky, you'll get a Princess Leia wig put on your head!

I loved it. Plain and simple - wry, witty, sarcastic, sardonic, mirthful, playful, introspective and wholly unapologetic. Need I add clever and engaging?
Ms. Fisher is a brilliant storyteller and a wonderful comedian (NOT comedienne - I hate the gender specific words for people like Actor/Actress, Waiter/Waitress...still exceptions like "Dominatrix" are acceptable)...
Her audience participation method was spot on and very comfortable to watch...no one was embarrassed (needlessly) and everyone seemed to love their part...
All in all - a winner!

I would have gone with 4 stars except for Geo Bush and Republican jokes. Typical Hollywood mean-spirited liberal. A bipartisan approach would have been a lot smarter.
Entertaining in a really canned way. Still good and we did laugh. What was tacky was Ms Fisher singing to a recording and not live music. Even a piano acccompanyment would have been an improvement. She only sang twice at the start and at the end. .
The first half was better than the second which sometimes seemed like self-indulgent public therapy. Again, however, I could have gone with 4 stars for about 80% of it.
If you're over 55, you'll like it better than if you're under.

My friends and I really enjoyed Carrie Fisher. she was open and honest about her difficulties without being maudlin. She discussed everything with humor. By the end of the evening, you felt as if you were her good friend.
This is not a show I would have taken my husband to see. I think this is a show women would enjoy the most- like getting together with a girlfriend. I recommend it to women especially over the age of 50 who know who Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds are!
