I can't say enough wonderful things about the singers, especially Andrea Rivette. (I wish she had a CD.) Her "Defying Gravity" was fantastic. And Sandra Joseph did the best "Taylor the Latte Boy" I've heard (great song). But for being billed as 100 Years of Broadway, it only covered 55 and left out a tremendous number of important composers: Sondheim (as a music writer), Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, the Gershwins, Irving Berlin, Jules Styne. It felt like an Andrew Lloyd Webber revue with a few others tossed in for good measure.
But the voices were stunning. I'd go again if I was assured there'd be more variety.
