Featured Review

Every element of The Lion King made attending the preformance feel like we were experiencing the preformance. The musical score was a wonderful interwoven display of culture. The costumes were absolutely extraordinary and every scene was as majestic and awe-inspiring as the last.

This is a show for all ages. Our party's ages spanned almost 60 years; men, women and children The set and costume designs create a visual effect which for entertainment rivals anything produced for cinema. It becomes far more than simply people dressed as animals; the cast become the animals. Some terrific performances. All of the emotions are covered; it's funny, serious, sad, and thought provoking. Every last touch contributes to a great entertainment experience.

Featured Review

This is truly one of the most beautifully produced productions I have ever seen on Broadway. The costumes were remarkably innovative, the music was inspirational, and the performers were exceptionally talented. This is a wonderfully inspiring show that is family friendly, entertaining for "children" of all ages (I'm in my 50s), and a memorable experience of the best of New York. I highly recommend this show--it is well worth the price of admission.

The Lion King is amazing! Within the first few minutes you truly believe you are watching real animals on stage. Major kudos to the costume designers! All of the animals look fantastic but the giraffes are especially fascinating. Make sure you are paying attention for the elephant too! Music is wonderful along with the singing and dancing. Children will be able to follow the story they know. Minimal scary parts for younger kids. Only pleasant surprises. Totally worth the money. Fun for the entire family.

Have seen many Disney productions but never one anything like The Lion King. The production, costumes, and cast were magnificent to say the least. Well worth the cost for anyone who has the time to see it.

$200 seats with obstructed views

For a combined $400 (for premium seats--so that we could see the stage!), my 8-year-old and I should have been able to see better than we did. Sitting behind two enormously fat heads (attached to bodies of merely average height), we saw too little.

OMG, I LOVED THE SHOW SO MUCH. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFULLY PLAYED BY ALL CAST MEMBERS. MY SONS ENJOYED IT TO. THE VOICES OF THE SINGERS WAS STUPENDIS, TRULY. I WAS SO HAPPY MY SON CHOSE LION KING FOR HIS B-DAY OUTING. HE SAYS HE WANTS TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR FOR HIS 10TH B-DAY. I AGREE. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE LION KING.

I was born and raised in Dallas, TX and pretty bored at just about everything having to do with theater or a stage, but I have to admit, Lion King was awesome! My wife and I were in NY for a class I am taking so I decided to surprise her with tickets, and I sure am glad I did. She loved it and so did I. I am about to show my theatrical ignorance here, but I have no idea the way they did the animals; they were phenomenal! I couldn't take my eyes off the show for the entire three hours! Everything was amazing! I don't even watch a whole football or baseball game without taking some sort of break to get a beer or something, but I could have gone without the intermission here. The only part I didn't like was when they added songs that weren't in the movie (yes, I've seen the movie). Some people may want pull my man card, but that's fine because that show was unforgettable!

All I can say is AMAZING!! I would recommend this show to all ages. It has so much amazing things to see and hear. You can't believe how they can turn a Disney Animation into a live performance.

This show was every bit as good as it was said to be. The visual effects, costumes, and musical talent were everything you would expect and deserve from Broadway. I would recommend this for all ages. It's family-friendly and kids will love it.

Going into the city was great, and this event made it even better. We had really good seats - right on the front row of the balcony - and we could see everything. The sets were amazing and the actors and actresses did a phenomenal job. I even found myself singing along.

INITIALLY IT TOOK SOME TIME TO SEE THE CHARACTERS AS ANIMALS AND OR GRASS BUT ONCE TRANSFIXED THE MUSIC CARRIED YOU ON THE JOURNEY ALONG WITH THE RHYTHMIC MOVEMENT OF THE CAST AND THE COSTUMES AND LIGHTING; WELL DONE, WELL DONE IN DEED!!
