I have never seen R y G before except on YouTube and in that venue, they are amazing. They are even better live because there is no alterations to their sound; just them. While the back up band C.U.B.A were quite good, I am a purist, tending to like just the two guitars. Otherwise, they too, were masters of their instruments, especially the bassist and percussionist.
I took a friend who had never heard them before, but based on how he was bopping around, he really enjoyed it. Also, I took my 15 year old daughter and as a budding guitarist herself, she was floored by the intricate finger work the two displayed on their instruments. In their homage to Jimi Hendrix, it was all their own arrangements, bringing a new flavor to his already historic music.
I would love to see R y G in a small, intimate venue with a few shots of tequila. They are music that needs to be listened to closely.

Favorite moment: when it was just Rodrigo y Gabriela. The sounds that come out of their instruments is amazing. @
Opening act(s): Some dude by himself on guitar. Good guitarist, but I couldn't understand a word he said. @
