I took my 15 year old daughter and 2 of her BFF's for the 5th time to see their favorite band on Tuesday night. My daughter was lucky enough to have won backstage passes for 2 to meet and greet with Hayley and the band. Altough the meet and greet was only lasted for 3 or so minutes, it was the time of her life so far! She was able to get pictures with the band, her Album and shirt signed by the band. She only said a few short words as the time was limited, but she was so happy. So was her BFF.
The bands performance was incredible, we were right up their near the stage in the GA area getting smashed together. I caught the drumstick from the band! I gave it to my daughter of course.
The sound was pretty good, much better then when we saw them at the San Jose state event center, but not as good as when I saw Incubus on the same stage at the Warfield. Paramore played a better set list then last time we saw them with No Doubt at the Shoreline in Mt View.
We had to wait in line and stand for over a total 6 hours that night, 4:30pm outside till 10:30ish when the concerted ended. It was worth it. No bathroom or drink breaks! You gotta love your youth. I held up pretty good too for an old fart. Thank goodness the kids and I did not have to go to work or school the next day.
Anyhow The Warfield is the place to see a band like this or any band for that matter. You just have to know walking into this there are going to be people taller then you when standing so move around and you going to get squished. Shower as late as possible, wear extra deorderant, drink fluids during the day and empty your bladder as often as you can prior and wear comfortable shoes. Maybe steel toes if you have them. Preppare to stand long hours. Then enjoy the ride.
Overall a great concert
